Yeah. I think there woud be a lot of attempts. So much that like the Clinton's he's going to have Secret Services and Security for life. It's not a bad idea either. I'm willingly pay taxes to keep him in office as long as he doesn't screw up!!!! He has some big shoes to fill...and messes.

But I'm just hoping that people.........do not EXPECT CHANGE IN A DAY!!!!! Thats where we go wrong in our thinking!

Not trying to offend anyone here, but honestly I just don't think America is ready for a black president..I don't really think they're ready for a woman president neither but the majority would probably prefer a white lady over a black man. But hey that's just my opinion so don't take it too seriously..

not true Marcell says that the KKK would prefer Obama to Hillary.....

And for the record, it's also a known fact that Republican hate Hilary Clinton as well. And since Texas has a weird loophole where Texas citizens can vote TWICE in the primaries, expect the Republicans to join in on their 2nd ballot to vote Obama over Hilary. But hell, that's just a theory........I'm not a psychic

Well for most Republicans, Mr. Obama is the lesser of the two evils.

Mrs. Clinton has infinitely more knowledge about political red tape at the executive level and would strip the Republicans of much more legislative authority than if Obama takes the office.

Usually I want to drop kick minorities that don't vote Democratic, but this election may be an exception.

This is my worst fear--I feel it's highly possible. Such a disaster like that would bring radical change for all the wrong reasons.

Ummmm well NO!!! Because they will have ample......security around him as always! If they can secure Bush they can secure Obama and I'm sure there were people who wanted to kill him! But I guess you can't help but think that since he's black something has to happen to him why????

Just like whatchamacallit it said, I don't think America is ready for a Black president', I don't know when America would be, when black people first came over here, they were slaves. Same, as I agree with a Woman President, America isn't ready for it. A lot of people, think Women should be pregnant and in the kitchen. Because, remember, before, mostly men, no offense, back in the day, expected woman to always be at home. I'm just saying the past carries on into the present, and so, people still have those ideas, which sucks, because, this is modern times, and they need to get over it. Well, for that matter, I don't think America is ready for other races to become President. No offense to anyone. But, for me, I am black, and is Proud of it. I'm a woman, and I am proud of it. I am glad to see someone Black, and someone as a woman, run as president.

Great Point! Hillary since she is more knowledgeable about the real ways of executive level politics thus she probably would take the power away from the Republicans.........but isn't the House currently Democratic now?? If thats true I think Obama's appeal to the Republicans is that he isn't as LIBERAL as Clinton.........So would you prefer everyone to vote Republican?

I don't think anything will happen to Obama.........I think that he will be greatly opposed by people afraid of change........but then again the have a poor choice for a candidate in the Republican house for the conservatives so the best choice would be to go for Obama and hope he can change the country..........but i think Obama is likeable by whites and everyone else....but if he is killed or even hurt that event would tear America in two.........

Correct. Both the House and the Senate are Democratic by majority--which is why it's a real bad time to be a Republican. Really though, I don't ask people about their party--it makes more sense to ask about their stances.

I'm not telling people to vote one way or another. All I meant is that, unlike most elections, it's very understandable for minorities to vote Republican this time based on the very radical stances both leading Democrats have. Heck even Mr. McCain, who I think is the furthest thing from being a "poor choice," is being relatively radical from a conservative point of view. Sadly for him, he was dealt a bad hand.

And main reason I fear for the well being of Mr. Obama, and to the extent Mrs. Clinton, is that extremists from both factions have the motive to aim for them. Extreme conservatives don't want a female or African American president and extreme radicals know that their profiles make for the paradigm martyr that is a great catalyst for change. Even Mr. Keyes, God forbid, could fall prey to the said scenario.

one thing i was impressed by was that my local hip-hop r&b radio station... 97.9 the box.... constantly covered & promoted involvement & retained interest in this upcoming election... on the morning show they had Obama's wife call in and answer some questions... they were at the polls talkin to folks.... Overall GOOD JOB...
