O'Reilly can't be blamed for this one. Luda is just creating buzz using his hyped media presence to sell a mixtape (why does a platinum artist have to make mixtapes anyway). O'Reilly spun this as any other conservative McCain media supporter. The reason why he is top bill at FoxNews is because he works a story before any other commentator does. However, I am at issue in the way he spun the story...

He used the song to into inject race into the Democratic election (to sway white and hispanic middle class moderates). He promotes a campaign of Fear (which most of America is tired of). That's his modus operandi. He purports his case through Bernie Goldman, who has been well respected in the black community for decades- as a discord buffer to suspend our disbelief that Obama is only a representative of the black community. Any alliance with a "questionable" (In O'Reilly's terms, HipHop) african-american figure is exploited to initiate apprehension against the black community (and thus, Obama). Even Goldman muses the agenda of FoxNews and its news preference...

He should have made a cut solely about Obama, and not alliterate to why we shouldn't support Hillary, Bush, or McCain.

Here are the verses (if u aint heard them)

Put me in office and make me the vice president
Hilary hated on you so that b**** is irrellevant

If u said then u meant it, how u want it in the gut

Paint the White house Black & im sure thats got them terrified
Mccain dont belong in any chair unless he paralyzed
Yeah i said it, and Bush is mentally handicapped
Ball up all of his speeches & just throw them like candy wrap
Cuz what u talkin i hear nothin even relevent
And u the worst of all 43 presidents

Nothing Luda said is over the top... even the Mccain line... Luda didnt say shit about 'HE' wuz gonna put Mccain in a wheelchair... & like i said allready ... who hasnt said Bush is stupid...

I don't believe this was a political stunt, just a way to generate awareness- that's why he put out a mixtape without DefJam sponsorship. This way he can express his music under his terms while maintaining a presence in the industry. It is free because it would cost more to produce (points/$ are owed under sponsored endeavors) than the profits he would receive. So he releases the mixtape as a tax write-off and gets the best of all worlds- he produces an album with "real" lyrics, is economically sound, and increases exposure.

Nothing he said was over-the-top, but he has to be more careful in releasing lyrics on a track with Obama's name on it. Anything that can be perceived as negative will be spun by conservative pundits to decrease the large lead Obama is expected to have in October. Fear is subliminally prevalent in this election and most blackfolks know this. We have to be more conscious in how we represent this candidate- who just happens to be African-American. Let's wait until Obama gets into the office, then you can do or say what you want with the President's name on it.

I am going to be honest I did not read any other posts on here but I am just going to say that in my music listening experience I have never heard anyone spit more truth than Immortal technique in his album Revolutionary vol.2. This rapper/ rights activist is completely committed to the cause so much so that he wasn't even signed for most of his career. He writes for himself and for the people just to spread a message and open society's eyes to the reality of the messed up economical and political system. I mean he writes to earn money too, man's gotta eat you know? but I believe that his writing comes from a passionate urge to speak his mind and not be suppressed by propaganda or fear of the government. I could go on for miles writing about him and his awesomeness but if you wanna read more just click this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immortal_Technique Oh and did i mention that he is a really really good rapper? lol.

Seriously, i think it hurts him.........but it promotes us negroes to go vote for the first time! I've never heard a black radio station give voter registrations information/deadlines out as often as they do those fucking dumb ass car commercials! It's a wonderful thing about how passionate we feel about this election for once!

Personally, I vowed to never vote again after Bush won his second term (yes i was that damn upset!) But now i feel there is hope! But to the point, i think that some of the rappers should keep their comments to themselves.......Obama is running not just on the power of negroes but blacks he has to denouce some of our comments that may come off negative......such as Ludacris's song.......I know he feeels strongly about this but dammit wait until after Nov. 4th. The Republicans are looking for every shred of BS that they can throw Obama under the bus and to never re-surface again. The Republican fuckers are gonna get stronger in their attacking and trust there were 300 republicans there recording everything the Democrats said at their convention so they can attack.

So i think we as black people should do the part thats important. Campaign, promote, and most importantly VOTE!!!!!

Making songs doesn't help, I know some rappers are frustrated about all this but we must just stand behind him silently pushing Obama to the White House!

Here are 11 reasons why Obama has officially sealed the deal on his victory AND why McCain made the biggest mistake of his entire campaign...........

11 Things You Should Know About Governor Sarah Palin...

http://www.grizzlybay.org/SarahPalinInfoPage.htm

1) She is presently under investigation in Alaska for abuse of power

2) She strongly supports big oil (her husband works for oil company BP)

3) She stands for everything that Hillary Clinton stood against

4) She is adamantly opposed to reproductive rights for women

5) She has no federal or international experience. Prior to being governor (for less than two years) she was only the mayor of a small town and a beauty queen!

6) She believes global warming is a farce and is opposed to listing the polar bear as an endangered species

7) She believes creationism should be taught in public schools

8) She supports drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and anywhere else big oil wants

9) She supports Pebble Mine which will destroy the richest salmon run in the world

10) She supports aerial shooting of bears and wolves in Alaska

11) She is pro-war

I highly agree with on how hip-hop is like a double edge sword. For example remember that song that Ludacris did and how he insulted Hilary and McCain (which was quite funny) which sort of gave Obama some sort of Negative effect but then look at song that Big Boi and Mary J did which was a more positive and uplift song than Ludacris. That's why I see hip-hop is a double edge sword.

CAPITAL GAINS TAX

MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN
15% (no change)

OBAMA
39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.')

INCOME TAX

MCCAIN
(no changes)
Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $31,250

OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)
Single making 30K - tax $8,400
Single making 50K - tax $14,000
Single making 75K - tax $23,250
Married making 60K - tax $16,800
Married making 75K - tax $21,000
Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!

INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN
- 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

OBAMA
Restore the inheritance tax
Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA
New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!
