1. What you think the new generation animators should steer clear of:
Fillers/flashback episodes. It's fine if it's once in a while, or if the filler is decent at least. But a whole 50+ episodes IN A ROW is just ridiculous.

2. Some of the most original anime you have seen:
To Aru Majutsu no Index, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, could be more, but I can't think of them right now.

3. Some of the worst writing you have seen.
Naruto is pretty annoying. Bleach, not so much, but the "supposed death = revival with even more power" is really overused.

4. Should there be a petition to have so many cliche animes stop being produced?
Not going to work. Cliche sells apparently. Make the rest of the anime really good, and the cliche-ness won't matter.

5. Which cliche do you think should be put to rest. RIP:_____
Always the main female protagonist who hooks up with the main male protagonist. Needs to give the other characters a chance.

1. What you think the new generation animators should steer clear of
magical cards (or anything that is overtly a product placement) ,fillers, under age relationships, using traditional methods of anime, there is room in the market for more experimental stuff, think of FLCL.
2. Some of the most original anime you have seen
eden of the east, To Aru Majutsu no Index, tokyo magnitude, renta magical, magical girl squad alice
3. Some of the worst writing you have seen.
writing has never been a problem with what ive seen
4. Should there be a petition to have so many cliche animes stop being produced?
anime by its very nature is a cliche so this can't be helped. a good anime is when the cliches are there but they are hard to notice
5. Which cliche do you think should be put to rest. RIP:_____
parts of the body that are over emphasised like eyes or brests

Then watch a slice of life series.
Anime was CREATED not to be realistic.

it was created to be a representation therefore realism has always been a part of it. It wasn't created to be purposly unrealistic, it was created to make money, the fact that they have big eyes is a style associated with anime but it isn't a rule for making anime therefore anime can have its character's body parts's porportions resemble natural human beings and it would still be anime.

Um... do you know what the first anime was? It wasnt created to make money, but to also animate the comic. Why would they give manga that arent having great sales an animation? Its still the same story, why would viewers change their mind just because it's animated?
I never said it was a rule, I said it was a niche.

If anime was created as a representation of realism then why do we have so many representations of unrealistic things?

I agree with you in terms of the boobs and eyes, but that's just what anime do. It's the creator's niche. There are plenty of anime and manga out there that don't live up to it.

nethertheless however unrealistic the things may be they are still conditioned by the world around us, the still represent what is real ,artists condition the world around them. yes i agree that the unrealistic style is a niche, a very sucsessful one that has helped manga and anime become so popular but i still think that now anime is so widely established there is room to break away from that niche and create a more realistic type of anime

There already are more realistic type of anime, it's called slice of life. And many series these days stray away from having too many boob characters. What you're asking for has already been created. If a series can have a character that can shoot fireballs from their hand, why not someone with oversized boobs. I mean, if you're gonna get rid of one thing, you gotta get rid of them all. Just doesnt seem fair if you're complaining about realism about boobs but everything else gets to stay.

boobs annoy me and so do large eyes. In that case there should be more slice of life/ science fiction fantasy hybrids.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHH, so we've finally found it! It just annoys you, it's nothing as complicated as you made it seem. Slice of life means that it will stray away from unrealistic things like science fiction and fantasy. Like I said, "doesnt seem fair if you're complaining about realism about boobs but everything else gets to stay. "

1. What you think the new generation animators should steer clear of

Long static scenes full of dialogue. I have seen a few anime that had all-black screens with just dialogue or a static background with no characters in it.

2. Some of the most original anime you have seen

Rumiko Takahashi Anthology/Rumic Theater

3. Some of the worst writing you have seen.

Nurse Witch Kogumi

4. Should there be a petition to have so many cliche animes stop being produced?

No

5. Which cliche do you think should be put to rest. RIP:

None, because cliche is relative and mostly dependent on the history of the viewer (previous/repeated exposure to them). If the cliche fits the story (or the purpose of the writer) it is fine. It should be noted that cliches typically arise because the ideas have impact (so much so that it was used by many writers).
