I love both their style, two side of the coin. One dress stylish, one cool; one frank, one shy; both smart and kind and they love each other. (Most important person to each other) If I have a gf like either one of them, I will be willing to die for her too. Too bad I can have 2 gfs, heehee If 2 in 1 u would have die and gone to heaven

HiME: First thing is this, individually, both characters are very compelling yet mysterious at the same time. Natsuki has a inner strength in her that I admire yet she has a softness to her for those she cares about. She doesn't understand friendship, love and trust throughout most of the series. She's been constantly hurt by her mother and those around her, but the love of her mother keeps her going. She was also the most developed character in the whole series. Shizuru is an engima throughout the first half of the series, if not most of it. We see her a few times and right away we know there's something about her. Right away you know she puts up a facade but not really around Natuski. Her look and presence is known. You gotta admit, she was also awesome because she was probably the most powerful out of all the HiME's. I didn't agree with her being the stereotypical lesbian goes nuts due to the feeling of failure, but her actions were meant to help Natsuki. Again, the Obsedian Lord did possess her, but she loved Natsuki ridiculously, look how large Kiyohime was O_o. Also, I think people like them because they were gorgeous characters. I mean seriously, they were illustrated beautifully. Haha, because Sunrise sucks, they put them together in drama CD's and anime art books. We had to let our imagination fly.

I can't agree more to what u state. I totally agree. They are just outstanding characters that one can't ignore but love.
