I had an early dismissal today from school because of this flood. The bridge I normally cross to get there was only a foot away from the river underneath. Houses around the river were literally sitting in a "lake." I've heard something about 9.3 feet (2.83464 meters) - 14 feet (4.2672 meters) of rain.
Where's the spring weather?!

Anyone else experiencing this?
Any thoughts on the issue?
(now I know other areas in the world have worse issues )

No school for me. The river by me started to flood the town so everywhere was closed. Now it's all sunny though.

Come on it's "APRIL showers bring May flowers." I'm not surprised.

April showers my butt. It's all Bush's fault. He told the scientists to be quiet about global warming and look what happens. Snow in april in virginia.Don't you relize all the stuff going on around you??

^ No offense, but you're a dumbass. Bush caused global warming? Even if the US followed the Kyoto protocol, there wouldn't be any immediate changes. It would take decades to see any significant benefit from that. It's not his fault, this was because of way before that. Global warming didn't start in only 6 years. It's been a known phenomenon for decades.

There's been snow in April. Sure it's uncommon, but not unheard of.

St. Louis had 4" in 1939 in April
We got snow in April 2003.

"Snow this late is not that unusual, said weather service meteorologist Andrew Krein in Chicago.
"Typically every few years we'll get some snow in April," Krein said. "Snow in April is not unheard of." "

Burg said 8 inches of snow was recorded falling in Everett on April 12, 1968. He said trace amounts of snow are normal for the month. (This is in WA though).

Have I proved my point?

http://xrl.us/vss6 happy?
"Forecaster Brian Korty said the entire eastern half of the country would feel the brunt of it in the coming days, calling it the kind of storm that happens “once every 20 years.”" So it's uncommon but not unheard of.

Newsday? Is that another long Islander I sense? Yeah the rain sucked bad, but it didn't flood too bad where I lived. Although I watched the entire 7-11 parking lot by my house fill with water in less than 5 minutes from a short torrential downpour. That and I couldn't see where I was driving...where is the spring weather indeed!

I almost walked home in that rain. I didnt think it was that bad, then i saw the flooded streets that led to my home which were completely inaccessible.

There was recently an ice/rain/sleet storm in Massachusetts. It wasn't so bad in Lynn though. Some of the people complained in other forums like Gamefaqs.
