Can someone please translate what each colour the Gatsby product is for? Eg. Green is for styling, spiking, etc.

=UPDATE=

I recently got the hairstyle. Thanks for everyone that contributed! This thread is resolved! Now all I got to do is know how to resolve it xD

well i'll name the extremes black is for gangster spikes although ppl say it don't work very well...but it can also be used as finishing/tweeking wax
pink is for medium short spikes
grey can be used for spikes but it's a very strong wax that can be used for many purposes
purple is like grey but weaker and adds more shine than grey
orange is for long hair don't hold very well
green is just for volume
and the rest is kinda in between (blue is just like gel... never tryed it and never seen any one try)

;_; Gatsby kinda sucks now that i've seen other better asian products lol. Might cost more... but whats the point wasting money on a crap one when you don't buy it everyday anyways? :P

Might aswell spend a bit more... and just use it occassionally

I wanted to use Sebastian Xtah Crude hair clay...but... My dad couldn't find it...

He got me faddy hair clay instead, so I'm using that alot.

I also use the gatsby technical spikes a lil.

What sucks is the feeling of having clay on, it feels really sticky on your head.

I have never tried gatsby and just after looking at the prices they are cheap as hell. The best hair clay i've used so far is from Osmo Essence. I use their clay wax. Great holding and very matte look and its only $20.

i'm just stating my observations.

green: not as hard and sticky. for people who have slightly longer hair. thin out your hair, and use the green one. it's for giving more volume. works well for people with thin hair. but it's not very strong so you gotta use a little spray with it perhaps.

orange: nearly the same thickness as the green one. i haven't seen much people use it. personally i think it's around the same.

grey: lots of people use it. it's got quite a number of uses..
some people use it for spiking because it's easier to arrange their spikes.
some people use it for just doing bedhead.
well, it's because grey isn't very sticky, but it's good for texturising your hair.
because it's not sticky, that's why you can arrange your hair more.

i haven't seen the yellow one appear at my area so i don't know much about it.
but it reads .. uh.. something motion? (sorry not good at japanese)

the blue one LOOKS like gel but isn't as crappy as gel. it's for people who want to go for the wet look. blue gatsby can hold up short hair, and it just freezes after a while. then it just gives you this shine look.

purple: for people to give a very very messy bedhead look. but beware: apply bit by bit! it's very very sticky, allowing hair to clump together and giving you more freedom to make your hair look as ruffled and messy as possible.

pink: for people who want to go spiky. it's by far the one with the most holding power.
the thickness is around the same as the purple one though. just a little sticker than the purple.
works best for short hair. however if you have medium length hair, it works too. just makes sure your hair isn't too thick.

anyone tried the new clay?

it can be used to style hair on its own or you can apply it after waxing your hair to your hair ENDS, to give you more defined ends. use a little and twist or arrange your hair :D

i plan to buy it soon.. lol.
