Uhm... dunno.... it's because your not used to straighteners yet... You'll ignore it soon =)

try using conditioner when taking a bath...just be patient, it doesnt actually give all the effect in one wash and you could also use the leave-on conditioners...

hmmm...ive just been using straightener for about a month but i dont get any problems with it... but as a precaution, I changed my shampoo to the damage-repair type and i usually only use it to "uncooperative" parts of my hair

conditioner is a good help.. but you might want to change your temperature on your straightener if you can ~ cos it might be too hot s it fries your hair...
i've done that before...

For a temporary fix:
Apply heat protectant and a smoothing product of sorts to hair.
Blowdry hair with a large barrel ceramic roundbrush to smooth hair out.
Finish off with a glossing serum/spray.
This probably doesn't sound promising,
but trust me, it makes your hair look super smooth
if all you need is great looking hair for one or two nights.

For a more permanent fix:
Do a hairmask at the salon or at home.
For at home, I recommend the Biolage Conditioning Balm because it's
crazy moisturizing and doesn't weigh hair down (unless it's super fine).
Just shampoo your hair, lightly towel dry, and coat all your hair
in the Biolage. Leave it in for as long as you like,
then rinse out.
