Using a Mac makes me feel sick...It constrains me so much more than a PC running Windows or Linux that it isn't even funny...

Mac for gaming? That's a good joke you know!

Anyways, Mac's have gotten better, and why is that? You can dual boot it with Windows...Still lame, but better...And yet there is still one major problem - THE FACT THAT THEY ARE COMPLETELY FUCKING OVERPRICED FOR WHAT THEY ARE!

Yeah that's pretty much it...

If you want to know I could build a PC that could run circles around any Mac for several hundred dollars less...And do you know what OS it would be running? Probably a dual boot of XP/Ubuntu...

I'm on a mac right now!

My family owns two Macs and three PCs and I have to say that I like the macs much more.

I only really use the PC in my room for gaming and for uploading stuff on Onemanga.... ((Mainly because It's super slow and old...^_^;;;))

Macs give me headaches. They're only good for people who are PC illiterate or for graphics people. Otherwise its PC hands down. Although the new ones that run on Vista give me almost as many headaches as Macs (a friend of my has a theory that every other Windows OS is a failure - if XP = success then Vista = failure). I've used Linux before too and it was very user friendly (I guess the engineers like it since the computers in the engineering building runs on Linux).

Switched from Toshiba to MacBook about a month ago... It's okay, but the systems overload way too often! And I have no freaking idea how to check how the CPU's %. I figured that once I learned how to open the force quit browser(is that the right term?) that I'd find it but.. it's literally just for the force quit.
The MacBook sounds like it's having an attack this very moment.
(I'm probably over exaggerating a tad.)

I agree with the other people, it's easier to design on the Mac. I can even store more resources (textures, brushes, patterns, etc...) on my hard drive too. That might be because I downloaded a lot of manga on my other laptop though ;x but shh.

Overall it's amazing, if you compare my Toshiba with it. But, It's so hard to switch over.
F3, F4, and F5 are for sound on the MacBook.
But F4 and F5 (not sure about F3) are mostly used for internet browsing on my Toshiba.
(F4= to highlight what's in the URL box. F5= refresh)

The screen is a lot smaller than my Toshiba too. I'm used to it now but before I felt like I needed glasses to read x.x; (exaggerating again.)

.. I could seriously go on, but I'll spare you.

^ keep your iBook. Get a RAM upgrade, a harddrive upgrade if you need it, and you're pretty much solved.

I'd pick my iBook G4 over the newer MacBooks any day.

Open your applications, scroll down to the utilities folder, and look for a program called Activity Monitor. Once opened, click on the CPU tab to see your CPU%.

There are positives and negatives to both. Macs do run a lot smoother. Especially using any sort of graphics program. And you can run a dozen programs at once without a hiccup. But then again, there are more programs designed for PC (that does seem to be changing now)

I love my Macs. Our first mac was a G4 laptop. We were sold after that. Now I own the "Beast" G5 Quad, a new MacBook Pro and an iMac.

I've only ever used a Mac - I've got two. I've never had a crash and I've never had a virus.

I can't comment on using a, PC never having done so but they LOOK cheap and nasty -no style at all. I suppose that's why they dominate the budget end of the market.

I love my Mac. I'm on it right now. They never crash and are immune to viruses. I don't mind PCs as long as they're as quick as my Mac and up to date. I can't stand the PCs at my school though. The keyboards stick, the computers are outdated and ancient and take forever to load, and I really can't stand them. I'm tempted to bring my computer to school one day so that I can actually get something done.

Only problem with Macs is that they're not compatible with some programs. However, the list of programs is getting shorter every year and everything I need I have. Many games don't work with Macs but I never ever play games so I really don't care.
