I currently have cs5, the newest ver. I get my programs from my school, of course I paid for them all which is included in the tuition, but at least I get student discount~phew~ or else I'll be spending over $2000 or so.
I feel really limited to its use right now since my macbkpro doesn't have a mouse or tablet to draw with, I will invest in one soon though, but for now I'm just using the trackpad to work on ps and other programs.

I love Photoshop. Been photoshopping for more than 2 years now.
I have Photoshop 7 though and it works fine.

Currently running CS 4 and getting ready to drop the cash for the CS 6 upgrade. I know they are planning to go to a Subscription based system but I would rather own my software not rent it.

i stopped using photoshop a long time ago. i use krita, mypaint, gimp, or inkscape now.
krita and mypaint are more geared towards art creation than gimp is but gimp is good for editing. also gotta say that gimp 2.8 is quite nice.

i've been using linux for the past 4 years so i have no idea how well any of these programs work on windows anymore but i do know they've all got windows versions.

I used to use it back in the days of CS3, haven't needed to use it in a while so haven't been keeping up with the changes and new features.

even though there are much newer versions im using photoshop cs5 and dreamweaver cs5
