"Rain Releases Rainism MV Ahead of Schedule"
October 20, 2008 by coolsmurf Rain’s Rainism MV was released ahead of schedule this morning on the internet and attracted lots of views/hits from fans and curious netizens.  J. Tune Entertainment had originally plan to release the MV this afternoon but they had to push it forward after it was leaked over the weekend. Rainism, like the earlier released Love Story are the title tracks from Rain’s new album. But in contrast to Love Story MV which starred Ha Ji Won and had a story behind it, the Rainism MV emphasized more on visuals and dance chereography. Rainism MV For this MV, Rain specially invited director Jang Jae Hyeok who had previously directed his It’s Raining MV. Television crews from SBS, KBS and MBC will be here to film the event. This is an event that must be successful for it to become a possible annual affair.  As of now, these are the current known options available.  MTV VJs will be dishing out 5 pairs of passes to Korean Pop Night via their MTV SWAG segment (closing on 27/11). Monday October 20, 2008 Indonesia  “Agnes Monica SARANGHEYO!” This line was shouted again and again by Agnes Monica new fans in Korea after the show of Asia Song Festival 2008 over, right in front of the hotel where she spent the night. The young R&B/pop singer came to the festival without any expectation but to share her passion of music with other Asian countries. However the result was even beyond her expectation. Agnes, who at first wasn’t considered as noticeable, became a dark horse and turned the table. Given a risky chance to perform between two famous bands from Japan and Korea, Agnes Monica proved her capacity with excellent. Warm appreciation from the music lovers, the Korean audience, was given to her energetic and communicative performance. For Agnes and her fans, the gig in Asia Song Festival was quiet a successful night where music breaks the language barrier. “I had an exceedingly opportunity when I performed in Korea. I’m so happy. The astonishing ovation from the audience in Korea, and even many screamed and asked for my photos outside the hotel. Ooow…When I saw this, the fans in Indonesia just crossed my mind. It made me smiles a lot,” recalls Agnes Monica. Agnes confesses she didn’t feel nervous at all, and in fact she felt impatient and was excited to perform instead. She feels so thankful and happy knowing that she’s got positive responses from the people there which were more than what she expected. The girl who’s about to release her third album was so surprise too when in the farewell party the officials of ASF committee gave her special thanks and speech about herself. Besides performing on the concert, Agnes got interviewed by a lot of press including Hong Kong’s biggest TV station TVB, the TV stations from Korea, Japan, and even from Uzbekistan. Several local producers asked the prospect of cooperation with Agnes as well. Regarding this odd-on chance, the pretty girl can only ask for prayer and support from her fans. “I am speechless. Feels like a dream comes true. But I know it’s all the result of hard work and it’s only the beginning. I still have to do a lot of work and a lot of things that I cannot explain and describe here.” “In this very moment, I just wanna say how happy and thankful I am. And I keep getting convinced, there is no ‘impossible’ as long as we know what we want and we are willing to do what it takes to reach that level. Work hard, courage, consistency, sacrifices, and of course prays and surrenders in God, and also has faith or believes!” She goes on. "Son Ye-jin 'Marries Two Men',"
Monday October 20, 2008 Korea  A press preview for “My Wife Got Married” at Yongsan CGV in Seoul on Wednesday created plenty of buzz, not least because of Son Ye-jin, who plays a woman who breaks the established social framework by marrying two men simultaneously to seek genuine love and happiness. In a press conference afterwards, Son said, “I think she is a rare character given that she pursues free love. If I hadn’t loved and cared for the character, it would seem unforgivable.” The film adds a new dynamic to the novel on which it is based. Viewers are drawn deep inside the story, losing their sense of what is right and wrong by conventional standards. The work embraces football as a subject matter like the original novel, where it serves as an important metaphor for love and life. “In the film it also plays an important role in bringing the main characters together in their first meeting and developing their feelings into love,” Son says. He will be modeling for Ha Sang Baek designer fashion show. A SM Entertainment representative said, “SHINee MinHo will be at Seoul SETEC on 24th October modeling for ‘Seoul Collection S/S 09′ Ha Sang Baek fashion show.” MinHo has also expressed excitement to be modeling for Ha Sang Baek after Andre Kim. I read that MinHo did modeling even before he joined SHINee. He don’t looked his age modeling, and somehow I like him better when he is modeling.      |

"Lee Jung, next one reported for military service"
 Singer cum actor Lee Jung has reported for his military service under the Marine Corps sector on 20th October. He reported at 2pm on 20th at Gyeong Bok PoHang’s Marine Corps training centre. He will serve military service for 2 years after undergoing the basic military training. Lee Jung has been active as singer since 2003 and was also the vocal for group 7Dayz. He also acted in several drams like ‘Nonstop 5′ on MBC and ‘Unstoppable Marriage’ on KBS. |

"Rainism effect anybody?"
Posted on October 20, 2008 by sookyeong  After the previous wave of Hyorish effect that took over, Rainism is another thing coming our way. The song ‘Love Story’ off the album was #1 on various charts even before the album was released. And within just 3 days into album release, album sales has achieve a breakthrough of 20,000 copies. Until present, a total of 100,000 copies of Rain’s 5th ‘Rainism‘ album has already been sold out. Rain’s comeback special ‘Me, Rain, Dance’ aired on MBC on 17th October hit record high of 12.9% for viewers rate . And with his comeback stage on MBC Music Core on 18th, viewer rate for the show upped by 4.9% from during the same show from the previous week. To add to this, the MV to the album title song ‘Rainism‘ was released this afternoon, way before planned after cases of its source leakout during the weekend. The MV, which was filmed in Thailand, showcases Rain’s signature dance abilities, with many cool effects (including my favourite light/magic stick dance) - something to wake the Kpop zone up from its current slump. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1l8ao-N1u1c We may just be in for some real Rainism effect. |

"Big Bang ‘Haru Haru’ 2008 Song of the Year"
Posted on October 21, 2008 by sookyeong  Big Bang’s ‘Haru Haru’ has been enthroned the best hit song of 2008. Big Bang released the hit song ‘Haru Haru’ in August and the song made its way up to the #1 positions on various charts fast, proving to be a popular hit. Even though it is 2 months after promotional activities for the song has ended, the song continues to receive lots of love from fans. The song was #9 on Cyworld ‘Hall of Fame’ on 20th October, surpassing Kim Dong Ryul’s ‘Like a child’ and MC Mong ‘Circus’ which was released much earlier this year, and is announced to be the highest ranking hit song of 2008. This is their second year in making into the top 10 positions on the chart after the song ‘Lies’ in 2007. But ‘Lies’ took 3 months to get into the top 10 on the chart while ‘Haru Haru’ only took Big Bang 2 months, definitely a breakthrough in their previous record. Meanwhile, Big Bang will be having their Japan ‘Stand Up Tour’ concert tour on 28th Oct, 29th Oct and 1st Nov, and will start their activities for their 2nd official album set to release beginning of November. |
