Not all feminists are misandrists.(I'm a feminist) Anyway are some men abusing their rights by saying sexist things? Telling Hilary Clinton to iron their shirt? Showing up at protests against discrimination with signs saying "make me a sandwich"?

If misandrists are abusing their freedom of speech than those men are too.

They're being sarcastically sexist as a backlash to the presumed extremist feminist "all heterosexual sex is rape" dogma. Those feminists are as free to say those things as anyone is to say anything, but we should never for a moment treat it as more than it is: Sexism under the guise of empowerment.

Since when was Hilary Clinton a misandrist or fighting for equal rights sexist? I agree that the women who say bad things about men are being sexist, but I find no humor in wanting to be equal but having your aspiration undermined by snide comments, whether sarcastic or not.

(btw the all hetero sex is rape arguement is foolish and hateful. The proponents of it are in the minority of the feminists)

Think about it. Clinton would have been the first female presidential candidate on a major ticket. Feminists rallied behind her cause. The "all heterosexual sex is rape" minority is a very loud minority. Thus people associate feminism with that group, and when they see somebody who seems to embody it (Clinton) out comes that backlash.

lol I dunno it all depends on how they were raised

What you just described is prejudice and proves my point.

But it's not a backlash against women having equal rights. It's a backlash against the reverse sexism of the "all heterosexual sex is rape" crowd. You can see how males might not take too kindly to a group that comes across as strongly anti-male, can't you?

Bad, while prejudices have a few members of the group that fufill them, the majority do not fufill the prejudice and end up being treated like the ones that do. That goes with pretty much anything not just feminists.

I can see that, but they're misinformed if that is what they're trying to fight and regardless it's still sexist.

Well of course they're misinformed. But sexist? They're not bitter because they're women, they're defensive because that vocal minority tends to act as if males were a plague upon humanity. People are going to respond negatively towards any group that acts that way towards them. The fact that these people happen to be female and using sex as their tool of discrimination is simply coincidence.

You're right, but it still bothers me of the way they're attacking the wrong group. Oh well, not much we can do about it.

Oh, but there is. The feminist majority needs to put forth effort to divorce itself from and to denounce that discriminatory minority. If people view that minority for the sexists they are rather than the face of the feminist movement, then the movement can gain traction. That minority is loud and has an "in your face" type of style and bandies about their hate under the banner of feminism. The majority needs to speak up too.
