i will certainly watch it to see whether it is as sad as people said it is....for example Kanon '06....i heard that it was good,& it certainly is....though the ending is quite sad....

**good anime but with a very sad ending - Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch @ Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

most of this anime is not watch coz
they will see the main character die in the ending
some fans don't want to see that but most of them watch it for two times
it's to hard to explain

Sad Endings can be good, as long as the storyline that leads to it makes it worth it. If the storyline was decent, then out of the blue, main character dies because he was really a ghost (or disappears), then it wouldn't be as good...

One BIG example that i can give you that had a great storyline and a great ending, while being sad is AIR TV... Some people didn't like it for that reason, but i enjoyed it a lot. IT was one of the first anime shows that i watched that actually made me cry.

Yeah, I like bittersweet endings. It makes you remember it. Like Air, Kanon, and the Clannad movie. And I guess Clannad itself was sad...though not nearly as bad as Kanon (still makes me cry, lol).
