I went to China last year and I noticed that Westerners, would rather queue for a flush toilet, than a squat toilet that nobody is queuing for. What's up with that? Is squatting that difficult?What if you had to take a leak, would you rather wait or take a trip to the nearest available flush toilet, or would you give the squat toilet a chance?
By the way, flush toilets are referred to as 'Real Ones'.... from what I heard.
This topic is mainly for girls and don't ask why unless you're pooping.
State your opinions on this.

Well, idk what a squat toilet is and it looks weird >.< I'll take me flush toilet tyvm!

yup, I had a hard time using it in Japan, but after my third time I got used to it. Squat toilets are good to have in public toilets, but flush toilets are also important for people who don't have mobility.

Please, an OP with both pictures and wiki links? This is like a Buick in a sea of Pintos.

I think I'd have to develop the right muscle groups to use one of those. But I feel like, for those who call their home bathroom "the library", using one just isn't as relaxing. But +1 for hygiene.

I actually love the Squat toilet.
I grew up pissing and poohing in a hole on the ground. Do you have any idea how hard it was to climb up a normal toilet when I moved to canada? I needed a STOOL! =__=;

I used a squat toilet when I went to Veitnam... It was very difficult... I slipped and fell onto it... It was very disturbing since I was in the middle of peeing >.<

I've seen squat toilets on t.v. before and even though I've never used one I assume you just squat over the area and use it hence the name "squat toilet".
I've only used flushing toilets and sometimes I do have to squat if I don't put toilet paper on the seat (I'm a bit of a germaphobe), I hate squating to use the bathroom, it's a very uncomfortable thing for me to do, plus whenever I tried squating to use the bathroom I ended up with piss on my leg.
I think if I had to choose between using a squat toilet or a flushing toilet I would have to choose a flushing toilet, I'd be willing to be wait in line for that.

Well if you squat, you might lose balance and literally fall on your ass & pee. So yeah...
