At first I thought watching a full episode of Saiunkoku Monogatari would kill me, now I'm upset because I want more.

Detroit Metal City (a.k.a.) DMC
I don't like metal or death metal rock music but this anime makes it into something more trivial..
It's so funny, I can watch it a number of times and it will still be funny..

Ginban Kaliedoscope. I had heard so many people talk about how goot it is, but I was still skepticall. I was in the middle of a really hard-core series (can't remember what it was)and felt like I needed a break, I didn't have anything to watch. I saw GInban and LOVED IT!!!! >.< Great music, art's not very impressive but not terrible, story is AMAZING, and don't even get me started on the characters and the comedy!! ^_____^ It was a really nice, somehow refreshing romantic comedy.

Also, Saiunkoku Monogatari. I read the synopsis and was pretty much apalled by the idea of an anime that long, with a second season, being about a girl who accidentally gets hitched with the Emporer, but I started watching and adored it!! And I'm glad that instead of staying in the relative safety zone of one central theme or plot, they divided the series into several story arcs and changed things up a bit, with different villains, companions, objectives, mysteries, etc. each time. Luckilly, each arc included a fair share of reversed harem and bishi goodness. X3 I'm a huge reharem fan, and I didn't expect this series to be a reharem. It's my second favorte now. And for the overall critique: Pretty good music (not really amazing, especially seing as they use the same opening song through out the whole thing, even the second season, and just change out the video), voice actors are well-chosen (I can't help but wonder if I liked Shuurei more than I would becaus her seiyuu sounds exacly like that of the main character of my favorite anime (La Corda d'Oro, incase you were wondering), art's pleasing to the eye (bishies X3) and the ancient China-esque theme just adds to it, story is great, especially given the way the dived it up into arcs, the characters are pleasently quirky and show some nice developement as the story progreses, and it's side-splitting funny at times. (HOICHA!!!!!!!!!!!! XD)

Nijuu-Mensou no Musume. To be quite honest, I expected it to suck. Everyone was making such a fuss about how good it was, though, so I decided to give it a try. IT IS AMAZING. It had me hooked from the first ep!! Well, toward the end of the first ep, really. I was actually kind of nervous about where the story was going to go when it was just this little girl who refused to eat, but when Twenty Faces got there–God, it was awesome. It jumped straight from lethargic little girl to great escape to daring police chase to atteck by Tiger to another beautifully orchestrated escape. I lap the stuff up. Usually, this type of series doesn't really click with me, and I don't normally enjoy it unless there's a good helping of romance on the side, but this is different. I tryed the manga, too, and was surprised to find that it absolutely sucked. The anime people did a pretty good job of turning that DISASTER into such a great anime. All in all, the music's pretty sweet (where can you go wrong with Aya Hirano singing the ending theme?); voices are great (Aya Hirano voices Chiko, the main protagonist, and a rockstar voices Twenty Faces, so the anime got complimentary opening and endings, and it sounds AWESOME when he and Chiko sing that poem whatsit); art's pretty good, again nothing really special, but it fits well with the tone of the story and the character designs are great, as well as the action scenes; story is, again, awesome; the characters are great and really unique (where but anime are you going to find an eleven-year-old girl aht awesome?); and it doesn't have much comedy, but what it lacks in gags it makes up for in plot.

CLANNAD. I read the synopsis and was like, huh?, but I ended up loving it!! Not many animes, or anything, really, can make me cry like that (FUUKO!!!! T^T) and it was surprisingly non-ecchi for a harem. (There is a HUGE difference between harem and reversed harem, by the way, and it goes beyond the whole gender thing. In a reversed harem, the plot usually goes beyond the number of hot guys, though that is a definate theme, while in a normal harem, the whole idea is usually "Average Joe is surrounded by hot girls with big boobs, all of whom are in love with him," and involves a decent-sized number of ecchi moments. NEVER get the two confused.) The laughs just kept coming, too. Music's great (DANGO DAIKAZOKU!! ^____^); voices are pretty good, not spectacular; art's pretty good, nice quality with not too many flaws; story is pretty sweet, especially in the Fuuko arc with the Kotomi arc following close second, though I have to admit that the Nagisa arc was kind of weak; and the characters are quite simply hillarious.

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. As well as a reversed harem adict, I love the magical girl genre, but I expected this one to suck. It's ANCIENT, so I expected something on the level of Sailor Moon, but dear god, it rocks!! ^_^ I will say, however, manga beats anime big time. The anime screws around with the plot a lot more than is typicall nowadays, but the parts where she steals stuff from people is awesome!! (wow, that sentence was akward. ^_^;;) Music absolutely sucks (^_^;;); voices are pretty good, not great; art's not that bad, once you get used to the ancient animation technology; story is awesome, which is the biggest redeeming point of the whole thing, though again, all of the flaws inevitable in an older anime are nonexistant in the manga; the characters are pretty unique and full of surprizing depth; and comedy, in the anime, is practically nonexistant, though there's heaps of laugh-out-loud moments in the manga.

WIndy Tales. I'll admit, I was indimidated by the especially unique art (though that's probably because most anime with unique art like that are creepy, twisted things like Mind Game and Kemono Zume, which freak me out.) It ended up being my # 3 anime, though, after Saiunkoku and Corda. The art is AWESOME. It's absolutely perfect for this series. The music's really good, too, especially the opening theme, and the story was great. It made me wish I could spread my wings, kick up a good, strong wind, and fly. It's one of those shows with no deep meaning, just a group of good friends, the wind, and a flying cat. It's tough to describe the way it maks you feel when you watch it. In all, music's sweet, voices are pretty good, art's flipping awesome, story is great and really relaxing, the characters are quirky and cute, and really just anybody, if you know what I mean, and while there aren't very many laughs, the "ahh" feeling it fills you with is worth it.

End of insanely long post. ^_^;;

Mine would be Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

The beginning of it was kind of bad, with the underwear flying off every single time he got hit with the dying will bullet, which pretty much happened in every single episode. Tsuna got a lot cooler and it became really good later though! (=
