LOLyeah actually thin it this way. Won't it be weird and look absurd if everyone have dyed hair. You would look more like you came from some gang or you are coming to school to fool around-.- anyway only have to bear a few more years. wont die hohoho. and about the piercings -_______- i find that rather ridiculous too, as in those who pierce multiple earholes to school-.- totally not student like. uh huh. lololol

lolz but schools in america, japan, taiwan and such had already gotten rid of the hair banned law so y doesnt sg do the same? i mean its no big deal dying hair and y can only the teachers get their hair dyed? even if we dyed hair to school,it doesnt mean that we are bad students or are in gang.lets say that all adults have dyed hair and have piercing wouldnt that means that they are in gang too?

Its the image, I guess..
And some stereotyping.
When people see dyed hair and tonnes of piercings, they go "uh oh..gang member.."
Heck, I have coloured hair and 4 piercings on my ears. And I'm no gang member.

But schools generally are not against coloured hair.. as long as its a natural colour..
Eg. brown, reddish, blond and not silver or green or some other colour that cant possibly be synthesize by your hair follicles..

That why singaporeans look smarter..and if schools allows that. some emo+goth people will die ash grey..some punky people will die bright pink..some gay people will dye red and white. Just get into Poly and you can die until your hair spoil lol.
I'm thinking of dying my hair too..hmm..dark grey colour will be nice.

the strictness of the education system in singapore is what makes our education sysrem so effecient...if we were given as much freedom as japan...taiwan...america etc, then we would start having problems like them...(shootings in school, increased number of teenage gangs and crime) we should be proud of our education system right? i mean we have one of the best in asia, and i think we are the best in terms of having a bilingual education.
