Haha. I've wondered that myself. You think guys who like guys are more likely to watch h.s. wrestling or participate in it? Just wondering.

Whoa, you quoted my post from 4 years ago. It's weird to see the grammar mistakes I made.

haha. So what's your answer?

High school or amateur wrestling is probably one of the greatest and versatile sport you can learn. You can greatly build your strength and stamina and even use it for self defense purposes. It is not an easy sport but it sure is rewarding in many levels. Do your roadwork diligently and your wrestling drills. Have a great time and stick with it! You'll see the value in it soon enough. :-)

90% of fights go to the ground, anyone who does wrestling or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu like me then you'll know what to do once you're there instead of getting your face smashed in. Its only gay if you make eye contact and if you think about something as it being when its not that means you think gay, which makes you one

The following AP story ran yesterday. It's about officials covering up an incident of h.s. boys ganging up on a younger one at a wrestling camp and sodomizing him with a soda bottle last summer.

http://nation.time.com/2012/09/07/nebraska-school-officials-accused-of-sexual-abuse-coverup/

What on earth is going thru boys' minds when they do something like this?!

(And no, I don't think this story "proves" that wrestling is "gay.")

Because nothing proves your superior manliness better than sticking a phallic object into another boy's butthole, surrounded by other macho boys in a cabin.

Very succinct and, sadly, accurate. Does that mean you think it's OK and "boys will be boys" and the victim should just "man up" about it?

Haha, not sure how my post could be construed as approving of this behavior. It was meant to be sarcastic lol.

But no, I am not a proponent for surprise buttsecks.

I didn't think you were, but just checking. If it did happen to you, would you report it? What would most boys do? Anyone else?

You're quite intrigued by this subject, aren't you? ;)

Well, all kidding aside, I would definitely report it. No one should be silent victims of hazing, bullying, sexual harassment, molestation, rape, etc.

If reporting it can stop the abuse, then it's the way to go. Also help the victim move past it and hopefully get the help they'll need to recover.

I'd like to think most guys would do the same, but you never know. At Penn State the incidence of sexual harassment and rape in the football program was decently well-known but enough people worked to cover it up and sweep it under the rug.

Is this a serious line of discussion? Wtf... who wouldn't report it...

Else-ee, I don't mean to be rude, seriously, but I'm just on the fence of whether you're serious or asking all of this sarcastically.

Third year baby !! Don't listen to those ignorant of wrestling, for all we know they've never wrestling in their life. wrestling is one of most if the most physically demanding sport in high school. Don't be discouraged to try it out you have team in your high school. Wrestling was one of the best choices in high school for me.

Wrestling frightens me. I'd get squished, I think.
