Click to show or hide 1- why doesn't naruto and the 4 hokage have the same last name because they are father and son so you would think they would 2- how fair ahead is the manga in terms of episodes then the show

Click to show or hide 1- I believe this is because they wanted to protect Naruto. If everyone knew Naruto was the 4th hokage's son, then his life would have probably been in even more danger. 2- It looks like the manga story is currently 71 chapters ahead of the Anime.
