Actually, Yuuki Kuran is born a pureblood vampire and engaged to marry Kaname. She just wanted to be Zero's ally, friend and a family member. Zero, a vampire hunter, is too prejudice to purebloods and vows to kill her. And unlike Kaname, Zero doesn't want all vampires and humans to co-exist. And since Zero is at Level-D, he may not live long as a human.
