I don't think it's any harder to make it look natural on lads. You have to remember each guy would have a team of highly trained professional make up artists at the ready all the time. Half of their job description is basically to look stunning and amazing at all times. Wearing foundation and makeup is routine for them, and nothing I'm sure they even think about.

Often, the guys are air brushed into oblivion in photoshoots and magazines though. Kanjani8 were recently on the covers of both Wink Up and Duet. On the Wink Up cover, the colour of all the guys lips is much redder making them seem plumper. They have also all been given a somewhat tanned, still perfectly smooth though, skin tone. On Duet, they are all much paler and things such as Maru's small mole on his bottom lip have been air brushed out (which can be clearly seen on the Wink Up cover).

Anyway, I digress. In short all the boys wear makeup, but there are a lot of other factors to take into consideration too. It's pretty standard stuff for them though I'm sure

It looks like they're not wearing any, but they really are. It just depends on how much they put on.

The younger boys skin is probably in better condition, so they may not use so much. They definitely do use it though It's unavoidable in the entertainment industry. Considering what look their manager or video director or whatever wants, more makeup may have to be used to create the image they have in mind. It's merely a tool to create the idol image. I think all parties present, that being the boys as well as the talented people behind the camera, just want everything to look spot on perfect. So as I said, makeup doesn't become an issue and is completely normal.

JE boys and everyone in the entertainment business wears make-up.
I mean they're still human at the end of the day and everyone has flaws
It ain't wrong for them if it gives them a bit more confidence when being focused on by like 100 cameras at once!! lol
