no, not at all...I've been working out EVERY single day for the past 10 years..I'm completely fine and healthy.

On the flip side, if you have some type of heart ailment where you shouldn't be lifting heavy weights then yes, it can be detrimental to your health.

depends on how long you work out and what muscles your are working out

work out on legs 15 min a day

arms 30 min

full body workout 30 min

but nothing above an hour

Weight lifting has problems. If you weight lift a lot, it can stunt your growth unless you are already past your early 20s. Weight lifting "too often" has chances to age your joints and ligaments. If you gain too much muscle, your body adjusts to the increase in energy consumption and you're mentally and physically adjusted to eating ALOT (which may give you problems as you get older). If you gain "a lot" of muscle, you better be prepared to possibly being fat. I honestly think your body needs rest. And if you have that much time on your hands, you need to be more productive.

"exercise" is the term I prefer. I exercise twice a week.LOL.I'm lazy.
I dunno if working-out too much is bad.

The best way to do is set a routine and work out certain muscles each day of the week. However, you're 16, go easy on the weights and go for a run or something.

Monitor your level of intensity, and train with moderation accordingly. If you're dong high intensity training, there is a high chance that your muscles will sustain tissue damage from your training. It's unavoidable and to be expected, but a good recovery program can help you become stronger.

Give me a detail list of your training program, along with your training goals. If you're serious about weight training, then it's time you act the part. I'm a fitness trainer who's specializing in training programs designed to meet individual fitness goals. But I advise that you should find a trainer at your local gym for more in depth help.
