emotions are illogical, but if one wants to enjoy life through them then is it logical to act on and acknowledge them though they are illogical, is it not?

it's logical to act on that which is illogical?

rationally of course, it depends on the circumstances whether we proceed by logic or emotion.

Yes it is because emotions drive us from the inside and ultimately they can control us...there are no things that are logical, only illogical ones that may seem logical...all of existance can kick you out on your ass at any second...remember that.

That question barely is senseful but is near impossible to answer and yes depends on the circumstances

I dont think emotions are illogical. Theres always a reason behind why a person feels a certain way, whether its a good or bad reason. What i think would be illogical, would be to act purely on emotions.

I am sorry GT but i am keeping it and yes they are fun they are normal and to be "civilized" and not use them is bad and suppresses your emotions

Emotions are over-rated.

I see reason and emotion as a continuum where both emotion and reason have their limits.
Therefore, is illogical to completely rely on emotions and expect to be able to always make reasonable choices, and it is also illogical to try to completely rationalize your emotions.
The balance between emotion and reason is obtained when you are able to be aware of your emotions, their source, and act on them based on justifiable reasons.

Well it depends. Sometimes your emotions end up leading to a logical and good conclusion and sometimes they don't. Intuiton is also right for many people.
