not true. Sometimes you have to consider facts before emotions. A man loses his family. He gets mad and kills someone. He tells you a heart filled story of how he lost his family and all this stuff. You will be sad but that doesnt mean you exclude him from being guilty of killing. You still have to commit him for his crimes.

But also you cant always go by facts. Many times you need emotions to make a best decision. If you didnt let emotions tell you what to do the best inventions of today would not have come about if people had not trusted their feelings instead of the "facts" of the time. I use facts because it comes close to logic.

It is logical to use a mix of both logic and emotions to make the best decision you can make. You need both to enjoy life and do the best thing.

I think it all comes down to pro's and con's. If following your emotions is what will ultimately make you the happiest, and with the minimum cost to yourself/others, then it is okay, but if the logical thing to do is what is best for you/others, though it may cost you some unhappiness then you should do that. Decisions are hard all around, and there's usually no perfect choice unfortunately.

alot of ideas and inventions are not made by emotions, they where made/discovered by observations and you need logic for that.

also the whole logic versus emotions thing is too queer, the fact is that humans are creatures of instinct with concious.

it's logical to act on that which is illogical?

rationally of course, it depends on the circumstances whether we proceed by logic or emotion.

*edit: damn typo, wish i could fix the title :[

yes it is logical to act on what is illogical if you act with out thinking

that is better. And no. Logic at the time told inventors that flying couldnt be done. But they believed, hoped, and told themselves they could do it. Just one example but there are tons. By the way you kind of took my ending. SO I agree it is dumb but I pretty much made that my finish
