Actually, I found out if you breathe in correctly and dance around, your moves don't affect your voice at all. Unless you're some crazy acrobatic moves, though I doubt many people will be doing cartwheels while singing. It'd be pretty funny though xD.

Oh and one word.

Music can easily be edited so people sound better in the recorded songs
also they can redo the sing until it is perfect during a recording session...

it seems like these days anyone can record a song...
i believe hearing live performances really shows how well a person sings.
i love listening to live performances more than recorded...but that is if the person
can sing.

there's also the question of nerves...some people just don't handle public appearances very well and get nervous on stage.

there are some groups though that can handle singing live...half of DBSK's live songs sound better than their recorded ones.
But then you have groups like Fahrenheit that sound awful live

dunno...but sometimes groups will change songs slightly during live performances so they don't have to be faithful to the recorded song...and that way people might not notice so much that they don't sound the same

Jason Mraz has amazing lives (:

Great counter example.

i think it's because most of the artists that don't sound as good when they sing live don't sing that good in general. it's just that when they're in the recording studio, people can tweak their voices and enhance them so that they are better.

well... the power of editing in studios makes a good album.

THEN... you got the skilled ppl who sound better live like Jam Hsiao, DBSK... those who can really sing and work their ass off to be good at it!

Because when they're in the recording studio, they can go over and over again the the music, taking only the parts that sound good from the song and then piecing it together. (at least that's what I think) Plus, if you combine dance moves, they're going to get out of breath.

They Fix the recorded version. Sometimes in The live version a singer can get nervous about his or her performance. Or they're tire from dancing and they're kinda out of breath.

lol what kind of question is that??..hahaha..yeah everybody knows that they can edit @ recording and redo it as many times as they like
but in live u have 1 time chance performances..so singing while dancing is really hard thats why some boy bands tend to do LIP SYNCH's

my favorite band is good at lives to be honest some of their live songs is better than the recorded version bcoz of the randomly added JAM's

In recordings you can take lots of tries to get the sound completely right and on pitch and also the recording studios can edit the songs
In live performances, the singer gets one chance to get it perfectly on tune and it takes lots of practice to sing good live.
For example, Jolin, in her earlier concerts, her singing wasn't that good, but now in her recent concert that i actually went to, her singing was really good
also, some singers get distracted sometimes if they are dancing cause they can get kind of out of breath
