Hate it......Its not anime anymore....If it will be in 3-D how about the manga have you thought of that?? Making it 3-D means you also have to change the way how manga is drawn??? Reading manga with Blue and Red 3-D glasses.............Not for me

Well there are some anime that combines 2D and 3D the first one that I watched is Vandred and there's more like Dragonaut and stuff and I liked it so having a 3D full anime would not be that bad basically if it's like Xenosaga CG type of anime coz it's 3D but the anime feel to it is still there...

like this...

See... it's really not that bad...

also note that 2D and 3D are both animations the only difference is the Dimension so don't think that 3D can't be called an anime...

you have a very good point
but some people hate it
but i think a good example of an anime that is semi 3d,
is like what they do in clannad, the story that play by nagisa
the junk robot is semi 3D see it at clannad after story EP2
see it for youself (well coz it move so fine)
tell me what you think of it!

some fans hate 3D coz the character sometimes move
same and repeatedly move that same move. and the model is move like cut(uncomplet)
it's hard to say it on english

People aren't always open to novelty so they tend to hate them much like they fear the unexplained. Orthodox photographers think likewise, ignoring the innovation of digital cameras in favor of the films they were used to. Now enter the fans of the anime world. Any difference? I doubt.

I however, would love to see 3D anime as much as I would with 2D. Some may argue it is not anime anymore because it is no longer 2D and/or hand drawn, but the fact is they're wrong because it is still Japanese animation. I don't want to bring that old debate back to life so, nuff said.

No, i couldn't picture my fave animes without ACTUAL animation. They would be RUINED i say! How can the Death note exaggerated chip scene be 3D? It wouldn't be the same...

yeah I saw the one in Clannad it really is good...
well they used it more often(the repeated frame) in 2D than 3D it's just that it is more visible in 3D and the robot-like movement of a character in 3D which is unrefined is a result of an artist's lack of creativity and knowledge to use the software's full potentials...

Mostly nowadays Japanese artist are most likely thinking of doing full 3D animes but there are some problems that they always face, making a 3D anime is very very hard they would not be able to make it in animes like naruto or bleach which is aired once a week coz they would not make it, like in Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core's Final CG, the developers took a lot of time making it and it was just a 4 or maybe 6 mins of animation and it's not just time consuming it's very expensive as well unlike in 2D...

I totally agree... coz it would be a total culture shock if it happens and many people are afraid to change the way they view anime but everything changes everything even animes, they've already started with games, the sim genre which is thought to be all in 2D are now becoming 3D and more and more anime are now having semi 3D it's just a matter of time before everything changes...
