If all anime became 3D, would you like it or hate it?

Final Fantasy Advent Children and Pixar movies are examples of 3D CGI. 2. Stereoscopic 3D - The 3D that requires wearing those stupid glasses. I have a feeling the OP was referring to 3D CGI. And If anime went entirely 3D CGI: I would be very unhappy and most likely not watch it.

aWatcher 54493 cr points Send Message: 30 / USA Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 3/4/12 it depends on the theme of the show. for cute-type themes, deformed themes, colorful-fantasy-weirdness themes, i don't think 3D CGI would work and that it's best at being depicted in 2D. for serious themes like, Final Fantasy VII, 3D CGI works like a charm. my point would be that it works for some, and it destroys some.

I screamed bloody murder when Disney said they were going to do that (FU Eisner) and it was a sigh of relief when they finally started doing 2d animation again (hurray for Roy) however CG anime has come a long way. In fact the best example of how much it has improved that I can think of would be the Pretty Cure series. For years now, the ending animation of that series has been done in CG and every year it looks better and better.
