And here I was thinking girls were the ones who took anime more seriously...

They are fictional characters - not real - not the same sex as you.

Besides why do you care about what some people over the internet might think of you?

Also I bet every single guy who posted here thought of an anime character, but decided to protect his internet manlyness (is this even a word?xD)
