What I'm really interested in is Gintoki's childhood. It seems he was already a fighter even before he met his teacher. He probably lost his parents during the war. He probably learned how to fight for his life at such a young age in order to survive. What's interesting is he was very carefree and laid back even when he was a child. Lazily eating in the middle of a battlefield, lol.

If I wanna compare Housen & Jiraia...
Gintoki won Housen with a lot of help and a bit of luck, proved that he is still far away from defeating a strong Yato. If it is not for the sunlight, Gintoki definately lose. I would rather comment on Jiraia after the arc, but it gives me the impression that Housen is harder, faster and stronger. Would the outcome be different if pissed off Gintoki vs Housen? I still think it is the same.

Jiraia CAN'T be that easy to defeat...he must have some dirty tricks under his sleeve, maybe a special technique or something. Even Zenzou's father and himself hasn't been able to catch him before.

And...would be Tsukuyo crying while seeing Gintoki fight Jiraia?...or maybe she'll do it later when the battle get hotter and bloody?

it's only my mind but i'd rather tsukuyo not to cry because so far she's been a nice fighter-type apart the moment her sidekicks throw kunais at her. I like strong female characters, if she can't keep up with Gin what's the point?!

I'll be damned, it's already finished. I thought it would last longer than that. Epic chapter again from Sorachi, I can't wait for the next chapter. It's going to be the aftermath of the match, I expect some good conversations between Gintoki and Tsukuyo. I'm hoping to see more flashbacks about Gintoki's past.

Apparently Jiraia's hand got tied together with Gintoki's hand couldn't allow him to do any tricks further. That would be the end of him.

Tsukuyo really surprised me!!...now it was she who saved Gintoki's life Good team work!!!

So next week we hope to see, like Akira09 said, a good talk between those two...Jiraia's last words...maybe we get to know what happened to the fire over yoshiwara too, right?

Chapter 261... Jiraia did not die instantly but started to show Jiraia's past. He used to have a sister who looked like Tsukuyo, therefore this taking interest in her at first. Alike Housen, Jiraia also have his soft moments so he is not entirely a psychotic...
Tsukuyo carried Jiraia and still treated him with kindness, after all the incident. Jiraia finally died after seeing Tsukuyo as his sister.

The best moments in this chapter is that Gintoki did the Tittz grabbing action towards Tsukuyo again~

...but there's something that cought my attention....When Gin and Hattori were watching the moon, Hattori said "Makes me wonder, if my pops was still alive...Would I be able to bear his weight?" and Gin answered "I do too..."

He was referring to his teacher since it was about students being able to carry their teacher's burden.

So the next chapter is about Gintoki taking Tsukuyo up on the surface, so it's sort of a continuation of this arc. Tsukuyo is starting get more attention in the manga, I think it's because she has a large fanbase. I'm hoping for lots of comedic scenes in the next chapter. What if Sa-chan sees Gintoki walking around with Tsukuyo, all hell would break lose. Kunoichi fight anyone?
