now are you looking for a rhd or your regular lhd. You can almost try ebay or craigslist. But if you want one that's really taken good care of I would suggest going to a RX7 forum. Or if you want to spend a little extra you can try getting one from Canada.

If you can't work on a rotard on your own, do not purchase one.

And whoever posted "I hate people who are too lazy to learn about rotaries and throw a V8 in"

Why on "whatever god you choose"'s green EARTH, would you not want a lightweight shell with a LS1/LSx mill?

You're right, I hate aluminum blocked, high torque/power, and great platform motors too, especially in a lightweight shell.

Rotary RX7 are great...I love it especially when it is tuned for track racing or drifting...it has everything from balance to power but the only problem when a RX7 is stock is its torque...

Hi !!!
I had two FD's this year but sold one to buy another...
I have always been a honda fan but after driving an FD it's been an
eye openner. I have driven numerous N/A and turbo cars but
for some reason the power that a rotary produce is unbelieveable...

okay i've been going through this thread about the rx7.. it seems like you guys have a thing about the engine but not the car/shell itself? the rotary is not hard to maintence it. only people who are lazy dont do a sufficent job because when its time for oil change they either wait on it or let it go pass 3000. just read the books, browse, and learn. its nothing hard, thats why they have the internet, to learn from others around the world. about the engine, the engine does not go out x0,000... it depends if u abuse it every day because the rotary engine produce alot of heat, not only that the stock ecu could only keep it stock so much, thats why they made stand alone ecu. i just think people are just to lazy to learn about the rotary engines, they take opinions from whats in society and make it a thing to remember. just like that quote says "Dont judge the books by its cover" somewhat like that.

the rx7 is may favorite car.
the rotary engine engine can be a bit finicky but for the most part its just like what Lo-Zer said.
when mazda created it they were trying to make a pure sports car.
so far everyone that drives it says thats exactly what it is.
my favorite thing about it is its versatility.
its not the best at any one thing but it has the potential to be the best.

also i do understand why people put v8's in it but i don't think i could ever do it.
the rx7 was basically built around the engine.
and besides, if i wanted something like that i would just put in a 20b.

I agree with InZanity1254 that the RX-7 has a lot of potential.

But in my opinion a V8 should not be put into a FD...I don't know why but it's just a feeling that it won't be a FD anymore...you know what I mean....

You can't argue with a car with more torque. Better for hill climbs.
