This is the part where you ask mommy for lunch money, or help with your homework. (Not literally, but you get it.)
Yeah, ask me questions, make requests or suggestions. Whatever. You know how it is.

Hey mom, what's the meaning of life?
Posted 10/21/08
To live it fully, and to the point where you knwo you got everything possible out of it, so when you die, you knwo you led a good life. Well, thats what I think. After all, its not our life that we have NOW that matters....

*tilts head* Mom, are you religious or something?
Posted 10/21/08
Heh....
Maaaybe.....
not exactly though.

*shrugs* Just curious, since you said that it's not our life now that matters, that's all.

What about you, honey? What do you believe? I dont think I ever taught you what I believe, just let you girls grow up and I guess you believe what you believe.

I've always been an atheist, myself!

I believe in God but like I think he is like the puppet master and plays with us like toys until we break (die)... IDK I guess I'm just weird....

Heh heh...... I guess we believe what we believe.....But I'd have to be closer with Tori on this one and with you, Zakrina!! I think atheism is a lonely, negative way to live, and I've always been an optimistic person....

Joy ever since Paulines dad died I have thought this. I mean how can God allow someone who is sooo important to many peoples lives die so..... before his time. Pauline needs her dad and God took him away.

I don't think atheism is negative at all, myself! Gods and such always felt far more pessimistic to me, it always seemed to me that you actually have more freedom as an atheist to live your live to the fullest than you do with any religion. Because, who would want to be controlled like the way Tori was talking about. With atheism, it allows you to do what you want without the thought of some greater being watching you the whole time!

People die all the time. It's part of life, ya know? Paulines dad had cancer, and was suffering. I bet God just wanted him out of pain.

I know what your saying, Zakrina.... I kinda used to think like that too. But hey, its easy to live without God when you are fine and dandy, doing whatever you want. Not so easy when you are alone and/or scared, or even lying on your death-bed.

Depends on your point of view, I guess. For me, if was alone and or scared, I wouldn't ask some God to help me through those tough times. I would make it my own duty, no one elses, to change that. And if I was lying on my death bed, I would just be glad that lived my life to the fullest that I could.
