hmm..i love season 1 &2 because the story is better in detail ...don't get me wrong ..i like the season 3 but i find it too simple and focusing too much on her transformation thru that school girl ..that clip is too long ...believe me ...i fast forward it every time ....especially ep4 & ep5 ...the story are good but too simple ......well actually all of the episode

i just find it not as good as the previous 2 season ...don't you think ?? yes the graphic is better and prettier but still i will carry on watching it ...just feel that they should have make it better on how to bring out the story ...not like this

Though it's not out at this time yet (well, it is, but in raw), I hear episode 6 has fanservice and humour. O_o

Just something to throw out there since I like the way Jigoku Shoujo has done their humour (Ai biting the wiener was hardcore).

Anyways, onto the analysis of Mitsuganae.

It seems right for the series to have a third season. It was something I noticed in the second season. It seems the first season had a plot of sending the truly bastardly to hell, while Futakomori had most of the plots of people who weren't exactly treated well, but weren't exactly normal themselves (I guess you could say people with a more sophisticate development through a short span of an episode) sending other people of similar status to hell. It felt like something in between sending bad people and good people to hell. In Mitsuganae, it seems many people who didn't really do anything wrong get sent, and it feels a little complete here.

The revenges sure don't seem as great (I would have loved to see that girl in episode 5 get tortured), but the revenges aren't the point of Mitsuganae, and I hope they will prove this theory right later into the season.

What was it the trailer said? About Yuzuki that is. It said something about her wavering due to hatred, which was enough to host Ai's body or something like that. I dunno, maybe I misread. It'll be interesting to see where that goes. She's also a pretty nice character, though somewhat generic as well (in terms of being the worrisome and quiet type of person, though I wouldn't be able to list anyone like that off the top of my mind).

Another reason I think Mitsuganae was necessary was if they were to do anything with Ai's past, it would be in this. Futakomori didn't really do anything about Ai's past. Also, somewhat related, the spider/Hell's Master thing, and the grandmother are still a mystery.

Although the ending seemed complete to Futakomori, and I felt this way, I had no problem accepting a third season, as it became a chance to enlighten us with additional information about the characters, which is always interesting. Not knowing what happened exactly to Ai wasn't exactly bothering, but it wasn't something that would leave your mind too easily. I hope to see an honest and clear happy ending to the series and/or from Mitsuganae as well.

One more thing to note would be at the end of Futakomori, the spider tells Ai's servants to watch over her or take care of her or something like that. In the end, all they did was watch her die. Though it may be far fetched, it's possible that he was referring to what will happen in Mitsuganae.

On the note of the opening; it's great. :>

So far, Mitsuganae has been pretty good, but not at the level of the 1st 2 seasons. The revenges are a lot simpler (I hate you because <insert reason here> and for no other reason), and the torture hasn't been very sick/twisted. They're funny in a slightly disturbing way (episode 2 w/ the electrical plugs), but not sick/twisted in the usual way. And more innocent (or at least not very evil) people have gone to hell so far.

But I am curious about the new character Yuzuki. She must of been chosen as Ai's vessel for a reason. Could she possibly be related to Tsugumi from season 1? I'm sure they'll reveal more later on...

Yamawaro is another curiosity. If he's Kikuri's servant (for lack of a better word), why does he become a doll for Ai? Does he work for the spider? I hope they develop his character more...

The biggest curiosity is Ai. Her grudge is released, her parents are free, and we definitely saw her dying and going to hell at the end of season 2. So why is she back? Did she come back of her own free will, or did the spider force her to come back? If they don't answer this at the end, it will drive me crazy...

It might be too early to say this, but I get the feeling that since the revenges are only taking place in that one town, it might end up like last season where everybody just curses everyone until there's no one left. I hope not, but still, it would be interesting...

could it be that the torture was made to be not so horrifying because the characters were not exactly evil? :O

one thing i hate about mitsuganae: the ai coming out of yuzuki part! it's so grotesque and it makes me wanna whack ai

I think the nurse in Yuzuki's school is actually Tsugumi-chan from Season 1 and 2, cause I noticed how curious she was in the boy when he wanted to send someone to hell.

Basically, I think adding "Humor" into a horror/ fantasy / mystery show was something daring to try, But it did make me laugh, especially the part where Ichimoko Ren was hated!! But I hate seeing every episode where it always is a misunderstanding and the wrong person gets sent to hell. I also don't like seeing Yuzuki going through so much pain when Ai is coming out of her body. (Gah! It looks awfully painful!)

ANOTHER thing I found out is that all the incidents that happen occur in the same school , mostly related to Yuzuki-chan herself. In previous seasons it happen throughout Japan... Also.. the appearence of that young boy really made me wonder. It's great that Ai is back and so.. and why is Kikuri a ningyo that needed to be winded up? . The horror and mystery is lessened as the torture scenes looks more amusing then scary. I was constantly reminded of the part where the Electrical guy dies being over-plugged and Kikuri saying " Don't waste electricity."

NOW you are teaching me not to waste electricity!! ): Dam you Kikuri. I want to strangle you!! Mitsuganae is somehow drifting from the original plot. But the thing I liked was that it's not always I HATE YOU >> SENTS TO HELL >> END . There is always a storyline to let us know better of what was going on before someone dies.

On the whole, It's pretty interesting. I like the new opening and ending song!

i like all seasons! i also enjoy season 3 because like someone that mentioned before, she is more active. like she participates in the stuff before sending them to hell. like that one itme she was about to sing. or that one time she was going racing that girl and she got kicked and showed pain. hahah. she is so cute!

Compared with the other two season, Mitsuganae puts a twist on it. i was surprised when i heard that Nana Kitade(a big big influence in the Lolita style, as well as a singer(she sang the song "Kisemi Tsumi" for the anime Full Metal Alchemist)) and not SNoW was singing the opening, was strange, since viewers get used to hearing SNoW's voice. So far, from what i've watched, Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae is a unexpected outcome. Personally, before viewing it, I thought that Kikuri was going to be the next Jigoku Shoujo. I was mistaken by that thought. Right now, my impressions is mild, and a bit confused.

I like it so far, but I worry about the actual plotline because so far there hasn't been one. This will be the shortest season Jigoku Shoujo has ever seen and somehow I don't see how they can throw the story in and make it good enough with only so many episodes left to go. Loved the first 2 seasons and I started off liking this one, and I still do, but I just hope they implement a story into this one that makes sense with what's been going on. So far it just seems too random. It's been interesting enough but 13 eps just doesn't seem like enough for this anime.
