OK... well, my coolest experience LATELY was my Kickboxing match. Here's how it went:
In June this year I was set up to fight in a match that was scheduled for Sept 27th. Which meant I had almost 4 months to train.
I'm a black belt in Taekwondo and have been training in Competitive Muay Thai kickboxing (oriental rules..no knees or elbows).
So I started training hard, running up mts, sparring and doing cardio for hours every week while continuing my TKD too. But at the end of July I broke two ribs while sparing,(a guy hook kicked me with a heel in the back of my ribs) The Dr thought it would probably be impossible to fight since it would give the ribs only barely 8 weeks to heal. But I continued to train, I ran as soon as I could, and worked the heavy bag, and the last two weeks before my fight, I sparred but with no body contact to me. My trainer told me a week b4 the fight, that unless I could get my aggression back, he would have to pull the fight. But I wasn't about to give up yet! So I got real mean and just started destroying my opponents.all guys, cause none of the girls can spar me w/out getting hurt. So, my trainer let me keep the fight date.
So, although I could still feel a lot of pain, I decided to fight. The dr said not to do it if there was any pain left!

Sat the 27th. I didn't eat the 26th or drink the 27th so I could make weight. I had to lose 13#s(over the past 3 months) to get into the right division to fight my opponent. So upon arriving at the fight venue ( a three hour drive from my house) I had to strip and weigh in in front of all the guy fighters..that was ok, cause I was in premium good shape! lol... I made weight..@ 133#. I got my first sighting of my opponent. She was 6' tall and slim as a rail. No hips, no boobs, huge shoulders, long arms. She coulda fought at 170# if she so felt like it cause her frame was THAT big. (gulp) We stared at each other, as fighters do.. to try and psych each other out..

The weigh-in was at noon and the fight not till 7PM, so there was alot of time to kill. But B4 we could go eat etc, We had to have Dr exam to make sure we were ok to fight. I was 2nd in line so that went quick. Checked heart, blood pressure, eyes and balance. Then it was off to eat.. My stomach was so shrunken I couldn't eat much, but I had two crispy chicken tacos at Chilis! My husband was getting nervous for me..he said He didn't like how huge our height dif was.(8" dif!) I told him not to worry...

At 4:30 we were expected to go back to the fight place and get changed and have our hands taped etc. It takes about 40 min to get hands taped. The waiting actually went fast but I was full of nervous energy. My fight was going to be 8th! It was nearly the headliner cause everyone loves a girl fight! That meant I probably wouldn't be fighting till around 8:30 PM. I watched as the television cameras were set up.It felt cool walking around in my Muay Thai shorts, black Under armor top and my taped hands.. everyone was wishing me luck, telling me they thought Id win, etc.

Then, it was 7 PM.. the few hundred seats started filling up,the ring was lit up... People had payed $100 for VIP seats and $50.00 for general admit. The fight was called "Rumble in the Desert" I felt as though I had better put on a show! I watched fight after fight. There were 4 of us from my fight club... The first guy lost in a grappling match, our second guy lost in a grappling match, our third guy WON in his kickboxing match. It was almost my fight!

Time to go backstage and warm up... I felt out of sorts(I think waiting for so many hours was taking its toll!) and as I was punching the focus paddles, the bandages on my hands cut in to between my fingers.. coach had to get scissors and cut the tape out where it had cut into me. It hurt really bad and was distracting. Next I heard the announcer call our match, and my coach put on my headgear and popped my mouth guard in. I walked down the isle towards the ring with people yelling and screaming and cheering me on. I climbed into the ring. It felt good, my trainer put on my gloves and taped them. The ref called me and the girl to the center and doled out the rules. Then, we touched gloves and went to our corners..

The BELL! We moved towards each other. I was watching her feet ready for a head kick,(they told me to watch her for that..) but instead she dashed forward and caught me with an amazingly hard combo jab -cross- hook. I felt my nose break with the cross...everything went dark with the hook..it felt like I was unconscious on my feet, but I drove in punching, connected with a measuring jab, but she was tall and hard to reach, my cross hit her hard and backed her up hard, then I felt a crushing MuayThai kick to my left side, and an immediate even harder kick to my R.side.. the broken rib side! When they didn't break again, I responded with a hard MuayThai kick with my right leg into her ribs. The crowd went wild! Screaming and cheering for me! I felt the air go lout of her! I had definitely hurt her...then I felt my nose begin to gush blood.. it distracted me for a moment, enough for her to come back on me with a barrage of punches to my head. Some how the ref stopped us because my glove tape was hanging and we had to go to corners while the end got snipped. Then, as I recall (its hazy here) I backed her up with a series of punches towards a corner... but there was blood everywhere.. It was raining down on the mat and me and it was in my eyes..next thing I knew the fight was turned around again and she had me on the ropes. I couldn't reach her to back her out, her reach was far beyond mine, so she was punching my head again.. it sounded like thunder. Then the 10 sec bell..I knew if I could hold out for a 10 more seconds, my trainer could stop up my nose. She was tired, punched out.I could hear her gasping for breath. I could turn the fight in the next round.......and the ref stopped it!! Too much blood, too many head shots.. I was mad. I went to my corner, and was toweled off.had to go to center ring and get the traditional photo of champs arm up...my arm down.
Ya so I lost. But at least I did it, and I will take a fight again next year.(but Ill make sure my opponent is SHORT and doughy!LOL) When the fights were done, my opponent was very nice to me, told me how scared she had been of me, and that she had been training 6 hours a day for this fight! Ha... I laughed..I was training 10 hrs a WEEK! Then we all went out to dinner at Olive Garden even though my face looked like I got run over by a truck. My husband hated it.. he doesnt want me to take more fights...but I think he knows me well enough by now!! (LONG ENOUGH STORY?? IS IT COOL ??) my bloody MT shorts
the ring where the fight was held.

I have always been doing this from time to time (since grade 2), whenever I'm bored in school
I can always get out of our school whenever I like without being caught
and also, my teachers are scared of my stare
How do I know?
They are because it's like they would avoid eye contact
with me everytime they see me eventhough they are the ones to be avoided by students.
