I've heard that the daily contacts are better because it's more clean since you wear a new pair everyday. For me, because my eyesight is so bad, I wear monthly ones. Finding the right solution is important but cleanliness is another big issue. make sure you keep yourself clean. Wash your hands with soap and water before you put on or take out your contacts. And also, make sure you make it a habit to clean out the container you put your contacts in with soap!
LASIK, I'm not sure how much it costs but... $1000 per eye? Hahahha! I think I'm way off. Anyways, I think there is a age limit to it because after a certain age, your eyes stop developing or don't develop as fast. Also, whether you can get LASIK treatment depends on the condition of your eyes. Whether it's healthy or not. It's best to talk to your optometrist about it Afterall, your eyes are really important and it's a good idea to know all the risks that comes along with wearing contacts

@mauz Thanks. Its not as bad as I thought it would be, because I remember when it first came out my piano teacher got it and paid like $3,000 per eye. I should go back to the eye doctor and have my vision checked again and get another glasses prescription.

You have to go in for a screening and then you show up again for the real deal. It's really quick (like 5 min an eye) and they numb EVERYTHING around your eye so there is no pain at all. After it's all done your eye's are kinda irritated for about a week, but it's nothing bad. Right now my vision is 20/20. I'm not sure about the age limit thing.

Oh, and I got it done for $900 an eye. But I got a $400 discount so it was $1400 total. But you don't have to pay that up front, you can get it financed and pay like $30bux a month.

i have your problem too but i was stubborn and didn't want to get toric lenses. i stayed with acuve oasys for 2 years, freshlook before that, and bausch & lomb before that! haha my eyesight actually got better and my problem diminished. weird, huh? i guess it's one of those weird cases. but if your astigmatism isn't too bad, i don't think you even need to get toric lenses.

I was in your boat a few years ago. I had a full blown astigmatism and had to wear hard contacts. They suck big time and I hated shoving a hard plastic contact into my eye everyday.

So I got LASIK, the difference is amazing. Once you get over the fact that they are cutting open and shooting lasers into your eye, it's a really good deal. And it's a lot cheaper than wearing contacts or glasses all your life. It's a little annoying at first, but it's by-far one of the best things I've ever done.

omg they cut it open im a faint thats painful i knew about laser but not that part

My brother uses contacts. Once you get used to it, it'll be like second nature. The only thing that bothers him is whenever something gets stuck (like dirt) between the contact, or when it gets dry, it tends to pop out and the like. It looks painful, but it's nothing out of the ordinary for him. It happens.

from what I heard they recommend getting done @ or after 27 because something
about ur maturing until. I remember the optician was telling me something like that, but of course it all matters on your consultation, they wont put you under the knife if it'll just wear out by next year. Contact your local optician for more info on lasik...

but the thing is, unless you really need contacts for something like sports maybe, or i guess reallyreallyreally want them bad, sticking with glasses is better.
Not all, but most contacts make your eyesight worse.
I got my contacts for sports, and my eyesight has become worse than what it was when I first got contacts.
if you don't need it for sports or something active, then get hard because it's better for your eyesight

strange, it's been the exact opposite for me.
I used to be a -3.50 on both, now I'm -3.00
