0 i believe soul has no gender so it can't have a mate. Also i believe there are no souls the human body is like a machine once the part which stores information(brain) is broken it can't be reused or fixed. if a machine breaks doesnt mean it goes 2 the afterlife so why would a living thing go. I believe a person dies every time they sleep but there final death is when the body can no longer support its functions just like an over used rusting machine and the corpse continues 2 rot until it disappears just as a forgotten lump of metal. if you get a computer and do things on it when you put it 2 sleep and wake it up it still has information however if the computer breaks it cant wake up can it. evenif souls exist it can't enter something broken just like a computer can't get new info if it doesnt work.

The way you put things makes it more believable that souls exist to me. If we die every time we fall asleep then dreaming would be that little deaths afterlife. That would mean it's highly probable for the soul to ascend to some kind of afterlife after the "final death"...
But that's just speculating on my part, don't mind me.

I believe a soul may or may not exist. what i was trying 2 say is the chances for a soul mate are 0 because i think it has no gender. (short way of saying it without the examples )

no such thing as a soul mate. I'm assuming some kind of mystical connotation. If you just mean something like strong emotions, a much higher chance.

Coming to some percentage is silly anyway. Plus most people on here are young and have not had significant relationships.

well idk if what you believe, but soulmate means someone you have been with throughout your past lives whether it be a friend, family member, or partner. you supposedly look the same throughout ur past lives so that they recognize you.

but to answer the question, it really is not likely at all and you probably have a better chance being abducted by aliens.
unfortunately and as much as i hate to admit it its just an idealistic fantasy that almost never happens
but whatever floats ur boat. ^-^

It is highly improbable, and when I say highly, I mean it will most likely, in 1000 life times never happen. If you think about it, there are close to 6 billion people. Spread out across the world. The chance of you meeting your "soul mate" is 1 in 6 billion. So basicaly, when someone says they met their "soul mate" they are just delusional or stuck in a fake conception of how reality works. You meet someone you are attracted too. There is no such thing as a soul mate. If you changed the definition of soulmate to "The person you fall in love with" then it would be correct when you say "I have found my soulmate". But otherwise you will never meet your "soulmate" I guarantee you.

In movies or anime, sure this is possible but in real life, it will be hard to get that situation.

Soul mates don't exist. My opinion has nothing to do with bitterness or the absence of a spiritual soul. It's simply no longer within my capacity to believe in such a thing.

I believe infatuation is simply a basis for two people who no nothing about each other and have never even spoken to each other prior to that time to form a stronger relationship. If two completely random people hooked up in a similar manner, they would have less of a foundation to work with, but would be just as well off in the long run.

A foundation isn't enough to justify any quality bond has been built. Structures take time to build, and that stands true completely independent of the ideologies of "love on first sight", "infatuation", or "soul mates".

Or in other words, I'd argue bonds take actual effort to build as opposed to them being handed to young couples on a silver platter.
