Article:
It looks like SM Entertainment won't be the only one benefiting from expansion into other countries. Just as SM Entertainment is the most dominant record label in Korea with their Allstar lineup, Johnny's Entertainment is SM's equivalent, if not superior, producing the top teen idol bands in Japan.

We've all seen the large boom in Korean entertainment throughout Asia these past couple years, especially with BoA and DBSK in the Japanese market. Well, Johnny's Entertainment and their hit groups such as NewS,Arashi, SMAP and Kat-Tun have also been growing quite a strong following in Korea.

Many Korean's prefer the Japanese pop groups because:
"The way a Japanese idol matures along with their fans starting from their junior days, is an amazing thing. There are many Korean fans that prefer Japanese idols instead of the Korean idols that debut perfected."

In any regards, Johnny's Entertainment will be opening a Korean office shortly, which seems to be due to Arashi's huge Korean following, approximately 200,000 fans and NewS who have 400,000 fans

I personally love this idea(:
Note:
JE is actually pretty popular over in Korea.[some arent JE but are Japanese(:]
On M-net list of the 100 most adorable guys
Matsumoto Jun[Arashi] got number 3
Yamapi[NewS] got number 6
WaT got number 10
Akanishi Jin[Kat-tun] got number 15
Yuya Yagira[actor] got number 22
Kazunari Ninomiya[Arashi] got number 27
Kame[Kat-tun] got number 30
Narimiya Hiroki[actor] got number 33
Oguri Shun[actor] got number 38
Katori Shingo[SMAP] got number 46.

ohh, that'll be cool! but don't they already have fan club+ concert in Korea? so they're going to be on Korean music tv too like DBSK? that'll be so cool.

this is quite interesting...i can imagine sm and je going at it
but i agree some koreans do prefer japanese artists more than korean

I dont see why though.... i mean the music industry in korea right now pitiful. even if JE has fans in korea, it doesnt mean they will go out and buy their albums. The average kartist(besides DBSK) cant even sell up to 100k in korea. also, no offense but most of the JE boys cant really sing. they are good for eye candy but that's probably as good as it gets for me

quite true. JE boys can earn more than sufficient just in Japan alone. Yamapi's collaboration with Kame sold like one million in a month or something. this is something i dont think even dbsk is capable of doing in korea.
JE shouldnt waste their time and effort.
seriously speaking korean market is pathetic.
although yamapi is like REALLY popular in Korea. he was totally MOBBED at Incheon Airport when he went to Korea for a personal trip. I thought he would die inside the crowd of fanatically crazy fangirls, all trying to tear a piece of him off.
even Yoon Eun Hye is a yamapi fangirl.

yup yup. they are better off staying in japan where people will actually buy their albums. the sales probably arent near the millions maybe half of that but its still considerably a huge number compared to korea. i understand if JE wants to hold a few concerts here and there in korea but to actually come out with korean albums and stuff like just wouldnt make sense.
