Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 10/26/08 if it ever gets dubbed i hope ADV films or FUNimation does it because they're really good, and keep the original names, and still have the japanese audio with subs. Example: Mamotte Lollipop!(by FUNimation) Shugo Chara!'s dubbed name would probably be: Guardian Characters! If that ever happens, I hope one of these 2 DVD companies does it.

Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 10/26/08 OMG WAT DID THEY DO TO MAMOTTE LOLLIPOPS NAME!!!!!!(also i generally hate the anime... but love the manga) Im reeely worried about shugo chara being dubbed cos they'll probably do something reely wierd and squeky for the charas...and what would they do about utau's songs???i hope they keep the name shugo chara and do it well... guardian characters!...scary thoughts...

I mean 'Protect Me Lollipop!' would be more accurate, but 'save me' is OK too I guess. As I side note, of all the good unlicensed magical girl anime available and they picked up Mamotte Lolipop? Which was quite frankly crap. I guess the problem of a major USA licensee picking up Shugo Chara! is that there are so many episodes, so they cost of translating it and distributing it would be significantly higher than that of an anime such as Mamotte Lolipop, Fruits Basket or Kamichama Karin :/

So actually I think that they shouldn't dub shugo chara, so that we can continue watching it on crunchyroll and veoh and al the other websites and that chibi can continue subbing it

Though we all pray that 4Kids doesn't get it's cold, greedy hands on the animes we love so dearly. Also, I've lost all faith in Viz after the Naruto dub, which completely tainted the entire Naruto anime for me. (I can only read the manga now, and it took me a few years to get to the point where I could even do that again. I found the dub -that bad-).

Good scripts are important too.
