Gas was around a buck a gallon. Tech hadn't become Tech wreck on stock market. all. Planes flew over buildings instead of into them. A couple million less drivers on the high- and byways (although $3.50/gal gas having same effect lately). Tenchi Muyo funnier back then too. Don't miss the '90's but what's not to like. Actually, I miss the late '60's (the era before monetary inflation, when buying power was buying power, younger too).

90's were great, best childhood ever!
Pokémon card battles during recess and playing Super Mario on my Nintendo64 or Mortal Kombat on my brothers pc which had WIndows95! Scraping your knees and elbows while learning how to ride a bike and going to the forest and eat so many blueberries you eventually got diarrhea! Sleep overs with my best friend at his house in the country and going to the lake every day swimming and playing with the new born kittens in the barn and the horses! Playing card games all the time in school and having fun while learning and getting gold stars...
So, to answer your question...
I don't want to go back because it might destroy it all.
I prefer having these good memories to look back on.
I'm so glad I had my childhood in the 90's and not now!

The 90's were my High School and Army years...I wish I had been a little more sensible then, but I wouldn't want to do it over. I like where it led me. I sure do miss the anime of the 90's though, and the surge of fandom in America.

......You mean we're not in the 90's??? .....I coulda sworn it was '93....

Naw, but seriously.... I like this generation/decade. I'm already listening to the 90's music all the time, so I think I'm fine with just that ^^

I graduated from college in '91, so yeah, I have a pretty good recollection of that decade. I'd go back, but I have some VERY specific things I'd do:

#10) Avoid getting involved with a lot of the guys I used to date. I'd have lots more money now if I'd never met them, or ignored them when I did.
#9) Avoid putting anything on a credit card, EVER, that isn't a major appliance, like a washing machine, or a car repair.
#8) Find a better job than the dead-end one I settled for and stayed in for 17 years, and buy a much better car outright, rather than the cheap ones that have a head gasket blow if you look at them.
#7) Buy a house in the early 90's, and unload it before 2005.
#6) Buy tech stocks and unload them before late 1998.
#5) Buy housing stocks and unload them before 2005. Invest the millions in gold and cash.
#4) Try to stop a friend from accidentally killing himself in 2000. Steal the firearm that caused it via burglary if I have to.
#3) Call in a warning to the Oklahoma City Police the night before Timothy McVeigh set off the truck bomb, and tell them what he's planning. Have them set up a sting.
#2) Set up a meeting with my future husband around 2000, be there when he gets dumped by a bitchy girlfriend and promptly marry him in time to have/adopt kids.
#1) Kill Osama bin Laden while he's in custody for the WTC bombing done at the parking garage level in the 90's, thus preventing the last ten years of war.

Yeah man! First 2 years of my life in the 80s and then grew up with the best punk rock songs. Just listening to Sum41 or Blink reminds me of cracking my balls on many a skate ramp.

No we need to keep moving forward. But it will always be something special "being a 90s kid".

We can meet other people from our generation and tell a joke only they would get, and the next generation looks like "what?" just how when our parents go on and on about their generation. Let it be just a precious memory and a moment of nostalgia in life.
