I finsihed both, and i say KH2 was the winner, FF12 didn't motivate me to get all the weapons, the game was so easy, with the gambit system.

KH2 was easy as well since it was straight forward dungeons, compared to the first one, however, i'd chose it because it seems fast pace.

Sorry, don't agree with you there. I think your judgement is flawed because you're comparing two games that aren't really comparable to begin with. For one, you just mentioned it yourself: KH is more of an adventure game with an RPG system that caters to people who aren't too confident with the peculiarities of full-fledged RPG games.

Second, even though you said they have a "free roam" system, they are still very different. KH, to be more accurate, is called a "real-time adventure RPG", meaning you control your character in real time (similar to Zelda). FF12 is turn-based in a real-time environment. You cannot freely hack and move around, you must wait for the character's gauge to charge before he performs the action.

Third, there is no such thing as a retard-proof battle system. the KH system suffers from horrible camera angles (though they improved it in the 2nd version, it still felt cramped and difficult to manage). In fact, I don't understand what you mean by "retard-proof", other than you seem to be implying that games like FF12 have systems that "aren't for everyone", or are for "seasoned RPG gamers", thus making everyone else a retard.

Now don't get me wrong, FF12 was a great game, and so was KH2. My point is that comparing KH2 with FF12 is like comparing oranges and apples. Because of this, I think your conclusion lacks a strong basis, since each and every person will be coming from different levels of argument - unlike a more leveled discussion where the two subjects are more related.

KH2 is the better game but FF12 is good to if they would just get rid of the turn base battle system

I completed both games and IMO, KH2 beats FF12 anyday. I love FF but FF12 is simply very disappointing to me. The game gets boring fast and the story and characters are just...bad. It's like they are written last minute just to fill the criteria of what makes it a RPG. Story did not get interesting until almost the end of the game and zero character interaction.

KH2, on the other hand may have a very linear, simple storyline. However, it's the characters that makes it win over FF12. It has a very interesting and likable cast of characters that actually has interaction with each other. The relationship between Axel and Roxas is simply heart warming. Sora's friendship with Riku is admirable. Leon and Cloud OTPness???

All in all, KH2>FF12.

Final Fantasy XII: I didn't really like the battle system at all. It wasn't that different from any of the ones before it. Even though you were in free roam (sort of) you still wound up waiting for a bar to fill up before they actually attacked. That didn't really bother me though, what did bother me was how you were able to queue actions to your characters meaning you really didn't have to do anything to really get involved in the game play at all. Choosing the right set of queued actions meant all you really had to do was move your characters around and then let them do the rest, but I guess you can just choose not to use it. I did like the abundance of weapons to choose from and also how some of the weapons looked, like the Broad Swords and the Bow and Arrows, some of the spells looked pretty cool too. The Hunts were entertaining especially the one where you hunt down the The Trickster and the Final Hunt involving a dragon with an incredible amount of HP and Power.

Kingdom Hearts II: This game was very entertaining, mainly because there were a lot of things you could do but didn't really have to do.
Examples: The Gummi Ship mini games - All this really did was supply you with other gummi(s) that were either better or better looking than the ones you get normally, also if you want 100% completion, which you needed if you wanted to see the secret ending. (Unless you played Proud Mode.)
The Action Command - This is what I'm mainly talking about. In boss battles and against some enemies you could press triangle at some time and use specific special attacks that give you advantages to the enemies. This wasn't really needed at all to win but it added some entertainment to the fight and some of them I think look really cool. Like when you're playing as Roxas and you're fighting Axel. Or when your fighting the Dark Thorn and you use the chandelier to attack it. My favorite one was when you're fighting Roxas as Sora and you can gain control of his Keyblades.

Kingdom Hearts 2 I enjoyed more than Final Fantasy 12 so I say Kingdom Hearts 2 wins.

Obvisouly you can tell by my name that I like KH2 and I like both of the games but when it comes down to it I think FF12 is a better game for the following reasons:

It has a deeper story and overall better characters that are orginial and more developed, I think that FF12 has better more realistic graphics, and don't get me wrong I like the fact that there are disney characters like donald and goofy but it kinda gives the game but they give the game a more kiddy feel to it that isn't in FF12 making FF12 a more serious dramatic game...finally FF12 got a lot of crap for its gambit system and linsence board, both of which I think are great...the gambit system basically elminates the tedious task of healing and instructing other characters...the linsence board is also great because it gives you freedom to build your characters how you like unlike games like FF10 with set character classes
Overall I think FF12 is better because it is more invovling and has a more interesting story...and I want to make it clear that I love KH, just look at my name!

I personally like FF12 and I am not a big fan of RPGs because of turn base combat, which I find boring and uninvovling, and I know, FF12 has turn based, but it is a better more active and fluid battle system, The reason I like KH and FF12 is because they are RPGs, but they don't have true turn based combat but I still think FF12 is a better game
