What do you think about the BMW M3?

I'm not a big fan of the E92 M3 in all the forms it comes in, especially the sedan. With every generation of 3 series, the cars have become heavier and bigger, thus losing some of the edge the E30 M3 had when it came out in the late 80's. On top of the being a piggy chassis, having a V8 instead of a single bank engine like the E30's inline four or the inline six that was in the E36 and E46 just doesn't seem natural. However, that may change with the next generation of M3's since M-Division has been talking of making M-cars turbo instead of NA.

I have a E46 M3, so I do have a bias towards the older cars.

The M3 was the power-block of BMW and it had that blocky-squarish look that is the same with all muscle cars. It is like taking the spots off of the leopard

I've driven both the old e46 and e90 M3 and the e90 is much quicker than the older e46 version. also the 335i can't even be compared. there's a video out there comparing a 335i that has been fully modified by Dinan and still couldn't keep up with the new m3.
