Sunny was a junior at Yokohama University. She was forced to move away from her friends when she was sophomore in high school. She was never able to get back to Tokyo where her friends are. Well, she was finally able to go. She saved up enough money and she has a month vacation.
‘Finally it’s been so long since I’ve seen any of them. I hope they remember me.’ She thought. It was true though she did look somewhat different. She had grown about 5 inches making her 5’7” and was a little slimmer, especially around her face. Her black hair was to her waist, the last three inches of it a deep red.
Sunny put on a pair of dark blue jeans and a red tank top. Then she reached for her black boots that went up to her knees and had a two-inch heel. Grabbing her suitcase she went out front to her car and slid it into the trunk. ‘There all done, time to drive to Tokyo.’ She thought getting in.

Over in Tokyo though her friends had their own worries and weren’t thinking about Sunny. Of course, they all remembered and missed her but when she never contacted them after leaving they assumed she moved on. It made them sad but they accepted it as her choice.
One of their big worries right now was Kurama. His mother, Shiori, has recently died in an accident and he was breaking down. He tried not to let his friends know how much trouble he was having but they had no choice. Hiei would watch him during the day since he refused to go to college. At night Kai would come over and watch him. Yusuke and Kuwabara came to check on him every once in a while too.
Kurama smiled at Kai as he entered the kitchen where she was making supper. “Hey, how are you feeling?” She asked as she poured him a cup of tea. He sat in a chair before answering, “Better I guess. The medicine helped some.” Kai nodded as she placed the tea in front of him. That was good to hear, he was feeling better. But did she believe him? She really wanted to but he had lied to them before, even though they just wanted to help him.

Sunny got into the part of town she remembered clearly. She noticed some things had changed since she had last been there. Some shops went out of business, buildings were gone, houses went up, and a park went in. Those were the most notice able things to her. There were other smaller changes but she didn’t pay much attention too.
Coming up to an apartment complex she realized that it was the place she was looking for. She had called and rented an apartment to live in while she was in town. Getting out she went inside to the front desk where a lady was standing behind the counter. She had her back turned so she didn’t see Sunny walk up.
The lady had long blue hair that was up in a sloppy bun and she was wearing a blue blouse and khaki pants with blue dress shoes. “Um... excuse me.” Sunny said stepping up to the counter. When the lady turned around they both gasped. “Sunny!” “Botan!” Botan ran around the counter and hugged her. “Oh my God! It’s been forever girl! How are you?” Botan asked. Sunny smiled and laughed a little, “I’ve been good. I see you haven’t changed much.”
Botan took her hand and pulled her around the counter. “Just wait till the others know you’re here. We’ve all missed you.” Botan said dragging to where the others were. “Guess who’s here you guys?!” Botan yelled excitingly. Kai, Kurama, Koenma, Hiei, Yusuke, Kuwabara, Yukina, Shizuru, and Keiko looked over to the door as Botan walked in with Sunny behind her.
Sunny smiled and waved, “Hey.” Kai was the first to jump up and run over to glomp her. “Sunny-chan! I’ve missed you, you baka!” She said laughing. Sunny had to laugh too. Not only because of what Kai said but also because of what she was wearing. “In all the years I’ve known you, I’ve never seen this before.” Sunny teased grinning.
Kai was wearing a dress. It was long and flowed out slightly at the bottom. It was black with large orange flowers all over it. You could see more orange then black though because the flowers were so big. She blushed and swatted at Sunny, “Oh shut up! It was a present!” Sunnys’ grin turned into a smile, “Don’t worry, it looks good on you. Very cute!” Kai smiled too. It was like Sunny never was gone.
“So” Kai said, “ What have you been up too? You disappeared on us so we deserve to know.” Sunny looked around sheepishly at her friends. “Well, Kieko….” Sunny started to say but Kai cut her off. “Don’t blame this on Kieko!” Kai stood up and glared at Sunny. Sighing Sunny looked at the table. “Kieko called me to Reikai when she got a paper. This paper contained information that was not a loud to get out. It contained the information of what would happen to all of us if me and Kai were not separated.”
Sunny paused and dared to look at her friends. Kai was still glaring at her but the others seemed confused. ‘Kai doesn’t believe me.’ Sunny thought, though she knew she wouldn’t. “There was a demon you fought. Kai had joined in to help fight. It was about a week after I left. Well, that demon is why Kieko made me leave. He was a demon from the Dark Forest of Makai and he would have killed all of us. With me and Kai separated the way we were, especially so close to a half moon, neither one of out powers were at their highest.” She stopped again and looked at Kai.
Kai understood now but she wasn’t glaring like she was. In fact, she wasn’t even looking at Sunny. “So, what next?” Yukina asked. “If we were to be together at that time because the demon was so strong, we would of combined our powers and attacked the demon. That would of cause our powers to be taken by the demon. With our powers combined in the hands of an enemy, could knock out all of Ningenkai. He was going to use a lot of the power to kill all of you, then he would of ‘taken over Ningenkai’ so to speak.”
Sunny stopped talking and got up from the table. “I’m sorry I was not around for so long. Kurama I’m sorry your mother died. Kai I’m sorry I didn’t tell you this sooner, I thought Kieko had explained everything to you afterwards. That’s why I never contacted anyone. I thought you were all mad at me. I’m going to my room now.” She walked away.
Kai jumped up from the table, “DON’T YOU DARE JUST WALK AWAY!!!” Sunny stopped but didn’t turn. “Thank you for explaining everything, thank you for coming back. You’re stupid though if you thought we would have been mad. Think about it Sunny, I would have been mad if you would of stayed. You must have been just far away enough for me not to fully sense you.”
Kai paused and Sunny turned around. “You’re not mad at me? I disappeared and left without a word. I stayed away for years and not once did I contact you. I….” Sunny started rambling on. “I’m mad but not at you! I’m mad a Kieko, she knew and didn’t say anything. She lied to me about you. I’ve talked to her many times and now to find out that she knew where you were and what you’ve been doing! I can’t forgive her for this!” Kai screamed.
With happy tears running down her face Sunny ran to Kai for that sisterly hug she had missed so much.

THE END

It's just something quick I came up with, It took me four days to write because I wasn't sure how to word it all. This was the best I could do.

It's really great for just a quick throw together. I wish I could still write like that. I'm totally brain drain right now. Maybe I can come up with a good christmas story. Keep up the good work. I look forward to more.

LOL, I came up with this being brain dead, that's why it took me a bit to write. I never thought of a Christmas Story, maybe I'll write one too. If I can think of anything, that is.
