hmm i think it would be difficult for someone who is white to break into the asian industry. perhaps it would be easier if they were 1/2 asian and also they would of course have to speak the language. and it's true in Hollywood there aren't too many asian celebs either. but yea we'll see maybe give it a few more years

well after the insult with bruce lee, the baddest martial artist on the planet was suckered from the abc show "kung fu ", i guess the asian film industries would be a bit rocked getting a caucasian lead / star person. that's the dollar catching, greedy, industries that love to feed the public with lies,stereotypes and all that stuff. but back when the martial art craze was heavy ( 73 -84) some bad non asians ruled in asian films like :

cynthia rothrock
jim kelly
van dammn
chuck norris
ron van cleef

me personally, i feel those big companies are too biased and ignorant. when the metal scene was hot there were some bada$$ japanese groups like loudness, tko,atomic tommy mcclendon and some bad af-am groups like greg howe, tony mcalpine, living colours, sound barrier and bad brains. and those guys could play
as well as bon jovi, twisted sister, etc if not better and unless someone was into guitars, the regular public never heard of them.

btw, my idol , michael schenker of the michael schenker group/scorpions was a big deal in asia especially japan back in the days.

Well I can only think of one "white girl" in the Asian movie industry at the moment:
Larisa/Rui Sha, and I believe she's Ukrainian

She acted in Iswak 2 or They Kiss Again as Jiro Wang's love interest

I'm not sure if she'll actually be successful in Asia but I liked her as Christine in TKA

Interesting concept for a threat, not sure if it'd be sucessfull though because people tend to stick with what they know best. I can think of two though. Larisa (Christine) mentioned above and

Nissa Marion (Julia in Hana Kimi Taiwan)

Asia = for Asians.

America is more diverse.
Because it isn't just ONE race populating the country.

It's fine if people are mixed.
If you have some kind of 'Asian' in you, you are able to get into the industry.

Asia= for Asians

So, are u trying to imply that Asia is only for Asians ?

There are plenty of other races who live in Asia.
Siddis of India to Agta of the Philippines.

Everyone should be able to act anywhere. Your DNA should not matter.

The only thing that should matter is your acting ability. I hate seeing horrible western actors in Asian dramas. It's very annoying!

Well I think if you look a little asian than you can(maybe?).

I know someone who's not Asian and she looks asian on the first look. She got some model jobs because of that.

Well, and I also hope that its doesn't happen:S Isn't it strange to see a big girl who's blonde? Don't really know about that thoug. . .

Yes....Sachi Parker

The Witch of the West is Dead

AKA
Nishi no Majo ga Shinda

Cast
Oomori Nao, Takahashi Katsumi

Summary
Based on Nashiki Kaho's award-winning children's novel, The Witch of the West is Dead is another outstanding work from acclaimed filmmaker Nagasaki Shunichi, the director of Kuro-obi, Heart, Beating in the Dark, and Christmas in August. The subtly moving film flips gently through pastoral pastimes, adolescent insecurities, and coming-of-age rites to portray one unforgettable summer for a young girl and her grandmother. Raised in Japan and fluent in Japanese, veteran American actress Sachi Parker appears in her first Japanese film as the witchly grandmother who quietly guides her granddaughter, played by newcomer Takahashi Mayu. Ryo (Canary, Casshern) completes the multi-generation triangle as the mother.
