well the ones they use in cosmic era are completely invulnerable to ballistic unless yur power source runs out then a rpg wud own it lol. regardless this match up is too damn stupid 2 different things against each other. downside too moon light butterfly is that it cause a huge amount of collateral damage. i like core though i think they are tottally better then stupid knightmare frames. i wanna pilot the arms fort in the game so bad. they are so awesome i liked answerer, great wall, other flying ship one, stigro(spelling)

Fine I'll admit it AC can't stand against Gundams that are past F-91 including Gaia Gear. Turn A and Turn X are disregarded as they are too hax and in the novel they can shoot beams into their enemies cockpit.

Now, adding in the factor that Domon and Master Asia who can take on Gundams and kick skyscrapers with their bare hands; they, I choose, too disregard.

It was implied that ACs are piloted by a mechanical interface. While NEXTs are controlled through some kind of brainwave reader. Which means this is probably something like some of the customized super Gundams.

Rail Gun technology will eat through both sides as seen in anything past Gundam F91.

Honestly now, it's hard to say: I've played AC before and it's pretty good. Gundam is pretty much a wild card really. I mean you have Newtypes ranging from Amuro Ray to Arno Seabook, Cyber-NTs like Puru (and maybe Domon Kasshu and the Shuffle Doumei). I'd think it'd end up with a draw and maybe a few smashed parts lying around.

Hmm the victor depends on which system to use. If you used the Armored Core system in which at least is realistic and well balanced Gundam is at a big disadvantage because Gundam will make a very slow and immobile robot. If you used the Gundam system, AC is at a disadvantage because Gundam is the fastest thing in their universe and will Laser blast you to oblivion!!!

i think armor core and gundam are about the same but I prefer AC over a gundam any time

I bought an AC game and tried it, and an AC is probably one of the most difficult mechs I have ever tried to "pilot" in a game. Although I've only ever used a Gundam and an AC. I can't say much about which is going to win, but disregarding everyone elses' post and using what I have seen game-wise, Gundam dominates AC everytime.

ok so the gundams in gundam zeta and after could go to mach 10 and higher which is way faster then a ac. also people say primal armor will kill the beams, not all beams have the same tech and power. wing zero twin buster rifle is so powerful it goes through shields. gundam outmatch ac. now a knightmare from code geass or maybe lfo from eureka 7 are a better match for ac. v2 gundam accelerates amazing fast over 29gs. all gundam are fitted with anti- g force system to prevent death of the pilots lol. this is just a ridiculous match were victor is clearly gundam. its like comparing pentium 1 to intel i7 processor completely different league. in ac vs lfo/knightmare ac should have the advantage.

hmm rail guns are only effective against gundams which are not coated with gundanium or lack phase armor. turn a and x are just too good. considering all gundams after after uc 0083 could go mach 10 and higher. gundams are just way superior in tech compared to ac. pilots should be the same like lynx should be able to match gundam pilot's reflexes and all.

Fast AC vs. Tallgeese or "MOTHER FUCKING" CHAR AZNABLE (aka the Red Comet)= Gundam maybe. Heavyarms just pulls out his knife and sliced two mobile suits in half as they speeded by him.
Armored core Laser weaponry vs. Wing Zero's Buster Cannon or the Appsalaus cannon= Epic Gundam Win
Heavy AC vs Heavyarms Custom from Endless Waltz= are you serious? Gundam
AC vs a Gundam in a Duel with just Melee weapons=Gundams are better duelists than ACs because all ACs do is lunge and slash. Gundams fight like a regular swordsmen plus Gundams have Hand held shields to block attacks ACs have to move out of the way or take it.
AC with tank legs vs a Guntank= hmmm Maybe AC maybe
Also Armored core laser weapons suck compared to gundams Rapid Fire Beam rifles
I will give AC something with the custimization that pwns.
But a G Gundam G-fighter would pwn an AC simply because the Suit acts like the fighter. SERIOUS EPIC SCALE PWNAGE WITH ERUPTING BURNING FINGER!!!!! (in fact most ACs look so fragile I doubt they could even take a solid direct punch from a gundam cuz Gundams have a more reinforced build than an AC and the limbs on a Gundam don't look like they can be pulled off as easily as an AC's limbs do. Unless it has tank legs I doubt an AC could stand up to a Gundam and even then the Tank AC makes an easy target for long range weaponry like Beam cannons or a crafty GM sniper.
oh and the AC heads are mostly Cringeworthy. at least Mobile suit heads look cool and are iconic.
