Why do a lot of people say Kaname is evil?

well one because he has this stupid chess board that represents this "big plan" he has for everybody so it seems like all he wants is to use the people around him...secondly, HE'S HELLA MEAN TO ZERO! just watch VKG and you'll see what i mean...and that thing about giving zero his blood, well its because he knew that he needed zero later on in the future and of course for yuuki, but never mind that...HE SLAPS AIDOU A LOT TOO! poor guy...i love aidou...so yes, this is why i think kaname is evil...besides, he's up to something...

as of right now (chap47), he's runnin away... how is he goin to repent for all that?
if he doesnt try to repent in the end....

i saw a few comments saying that kaname is evil becuase he made use of people.....
well if anyone say they never made use of more than 1 person in their life i would seriously doubt it! so if majority of the people make use of someone b4(more than one person) it would mean that they are all evil? lol.
it is true that kaname could have used a another method to protect yuuki( instead of his "evil" way), but seriously vampires are not good saints in the first place, not to mention he is a pureblood, even yuuki turned more evil after her vampire side is trigered.

kaname's not evil, it's jst dat his approach is different like using zero who loves yuuki to protect yuuki against rido as he (kaname) cnnot put the last blow on rido since rido is the 1 who awaken him frm his deep sleep.
btw kaname is the kuran ancestor ie the 1st of the pureblood so for him to be revive by rido means rido needs another body which isnt kaname's original body to which may hav ceased to exist due to time.
so here comes the body kaname is using nw which originally belong to haruka & juri's son to which was named kaname. in short, kaname is nt his real name bt the name of the son of haruka&juri's to which was taken by rido.

btw the anime esp vk guilty, it has too much alterations/modifications frm the manga to the point i find it frustratiing to watch. the ending is jst they make it like yuuki is pitying kaname thus going with him and that the angst in the manga into nothing.

yup, i do like kaname alot cmpared to zero cos to me, he is willing to do anything if it means he cn save yuuki frm rido, council and anyting else. zero,on the other hand is jst undecisive with things even with his feelings for yuuki, ichiru n even himself being vampire hunter-cum-almost level E vampire!

He's not evil. Isn't it obvious that he's so nice and gentle to everyone especially to Yuuki? Maybe his approach to Zero is evil to those people who are in favor with Zero. I am not saying that I'm against Zero, actually I like him too. But to say that Kaname’s evil, I am totally against it. Peace!

the reasons...
he always lies to yuki..he always hurt zero..he says things to him about yuki that are hurt him..he always want yuki to be with him so zero be jealous of him..he even let zero drink his blood just for his own benefit!! and by that he made zero hate himself and be in pain more than ever!! he did that in order to take yuki away from him with a more torturous way...he is a je*k for me!!

That's why we call it DECEPTION, Orena. I have to disagree with you, but Kaname is NOT evil. If you read the manga or watch the anime, he has every reasons why Kaname wanted Zero to live. He told Zero to drink his blood because the vampire hunter (Zero) is on the verge of becoming a remorseless LEVEL E vampire. Not only that, Zero is the only vampire hunter to kill Rido from 1) Getting into Yuuki; and 2) Freeing Kaname's enslavement to Rido's power hungry state.

Sorry that you don't like Kaname, but you'll just have to think about the reason why he had wanted Zero to live... even when they're rivals. The only evil in the Vampire Knight is Rido... not Kaname.
