Why do a lot of people say Kaname is evil?

We all know that Kaname hates Zero, but was very useful to face someone that Kaname cannot kill. But you should know that Kaname is NOT Yuuki's brother.

It is mainly because of Kaname's mysterious behavior and especially his rude treatment to Zero, despite his good intention in protecting Yuuki. You can only see his gentle, weak side in the second series, won't tell much in here because it would be spoilers xD

Kaname IS NOT EVIL. The only evil in the Vampire Knight series is RIDO and made him into a slave.

I don't think he is an evil and never believed he was , maybe cuz i've read many vampire novels , so i grew used to their personalities ,,, its a vampire thing ! they r mysterious !! and kaname is a vampire after all ! but no he's not an evil , mysterious yes ! but an evil no ! and in Fact in the manga the creator had proven that ... he's just a close book , a man with few words , does that makes him an evil ?! and about zero , isn't zero mean to kaname as well ?!! they both in love with the same girl , try putting urself in his shoes , wouldn't u feel jealous to0 if someone is sharing the person u love the most with u?! don't misunderstand me , i really love and adore zero 2 ! but sometimes it quiet unfair the way many ppl bash kaname ! =)

Because most of them have failed to realize what Kaname had done. He had to put his heart and soul on the line to ensure Yuuki's safety. He had caused no harm except The Elder Vampire Council's plan on destroying the pureblood vampire race. Him and his ancestor/fiancee are the only purebloods left on this planet. They failed to realize that RIDO IS THE EVIL ONE. They also fail to realize that SARA IS THE EVIL ONE. And there's a great possibility that Zero is the new evil for pointing the gun at Yuuki... and a failure.

haha...WOW, alot of people want kaname to die...he must be really EVIL...I want him to die too...he is OVER-STAYED his welcome...HE NEEDS TO LET YUUKI AND ZERO BE TOGETHER!

Again, Kaname IS NOT EVIL. Sorry, but you should know that Kaname & Yuuki are wanted by the Hunters and had to hide at the Kurans' home. He knows that Yuuki's heart belong to both Zero and Kaname. However Zero had betrayed Yuuki by pulling a gun at her point blank. Zero was emo a year later... right now, he's a vampire hunter... and 100% pure evil.
