I used to download my songs from there but I don't know if it's illegal. It sometimes didn't have the songs I wanted to download but yeah..It's a great website but yeah...^^

i'm pretty sure anytime you download a song without paying for it it's illegal....
Megaupload and those sites are used for people to upload their files to keep them safe (which is why you can't search for files because they belong solely to the person who uploads them). Once people give out links to download, then it becomes illegal.
So 4shared is legal/illegal depending on what you're doing on it.

That being said, I download from there all the time...lol
