America - Is this nation taking over the world?
Posted 4/27/07
america taking over.... no, but we are one of the few countries
trying to make things better.
very few countries invade, occupy, repair, then give back the country.

All I know is that if America were to take over the world, they would do it politicaly, and not using nukes. If you want to know why go to youtube.com and watch "end of ze world"

It pissed me off to see powerful people fight over for a piece of land though. What makes a powerful country are the loyalty of it's citizens, not by it's militarism control. Wars are pathetic and they bring sorrow. However, sometimes, they are needed.

I agree.

If America tries to take over the world, it will be crushed by the new age might of China. Sorry, it's true, I know we'd all like to deny it, but let's face it. It's a military focused nation whose technological industries are exploding at an obscene rate, with a population well over 5 times that of America's. It wouldn't matter how many we killed, more would rise to take their place.

America just like to push its weight around the world, to spread democracy and capitalism and to end any altercations that may affect US interest overseas (oil, oil, and oil); also to serve as policeman to the world as someone aforementioned.

Global Tyranny led by the US is hypocrisy regards to the US Constitution. If a president can't even be a tyrant to its own nation, how the hell can it be a tyrant to the rest of the world?

However, America is taking over the world in a sense that it goes out of its way to involve itself into foreign affairs. What it is is we are feeling the aftershock that were caused by mistakes US did in the past, eg. supplying Middle East with weapons and funding tyrants and corrupt leaders to sway them away from Communism and to have access to their oil (Post WWII - Cold War). So now US is trying to find a solution to worldwide problems that it feels is very much involved in. Right or wrong, all Bush is trying to do is fix things, however he is unsuccessful.

i dont think any nation is able to take over the world ...
because there are too many nations which like to take their own decisions and dont want to be ruled and will always struggle against outer control (of course this doesnt count if you control them without their knowledge )

in my opinion only a world wide organisation will be able to do so ... i would like the UNO with headquarter vienna :D

Sad but true *guitar solo*

America is not trying to "take over the world." We are just trying to keep our place as a world power. And please, don't go and say things like "my country doesn't want the same things as the US." Because every country wants to be in a position like the US is in, they would be crazy not to.

That said, this war was a bad idea to begin with and should have never happened, but the worst thing you can do in war is give up and withdraw. Losing a war is never a good thing.
