Guaranteed web-kids trying to be funny. Mommy and Daddy haven't put family security settings on the crappy Packard Bell PC sort of web-kids.

there are many possibilities for such behaviour~
1.they may simply laugh it off to hide their sadness for such event (so that they don't show their own weakness) ~ you know guys need pride~ it's stupid but I know people who will laugh people's death for such reason and they're all good guy (another example: a guy with a pride as the most important value ~ who watch sad movie might laugh instead of crying...
2.it may be "the end of the world" (2011 05/22) annoncement makes people less emotional~ and used to death~ (I highly disapprove putting these annoncement on youtube and newspaper to freak people up)
3.they may have experienced something similar or even worst than that so they think that "I'm not the only one", they may be psychologically ill~ those kinds of behaviours (laugh others people sadness) may lead to rejection because people will negatively judge them (morally wrong)
4.they may be educated that way, the environnement makes them reacting that way~ with reinforcement (such as laugh at others people sadness with get more friends) ---> no joking when I was in grade school, if you don't say any bad words, there's no people with approach you, on the other side, if you do say bad words often, there will be many classmate initially approach you to be friend with you, that kind of reinforcement, can really change people's behaviours~ unconsciously later when they grow up, they will react the same way~

I disagree with people who judge others people behaviours~ (by giving comments such as "loser") there are many ways to express youself without hurting anyone around, I'm not saying that they're right or wrong, there's no right and wrong anyway~ I'm just saying that it's not necessaryly their fault~

Immature and trolls, there's tons of them on the net and off the net. People try to act "tough" and think they're "cool" because they don't see people face to face when spitting such crap and farce on the net. In my eyes, that makes them not only immature and trolls, but cowards.
Sorry about your friend (may their soul rest in peace), it's never funny at the demise of a person, especially an innocent bystander.

Honestly, i have to say that circumstances are occasionally funny, maybe good for a small chuckle. After that though, laughing at people who died because you genuinely believe that their death is funny is just the dumbest most disrespectful thing we can do to another. "People die everyday" Yeah, they do. But if you can't show simple respect to those who have passed on, stop playing your damn call of duty, stop watching your fucking saw movies and learn that death, while natural, is not something to laugh about. I don't care if someone was killed by a bloody pacifier. If you can't respect them at all then why the hell would you comment.

Depends on the death.

Murder and such isn't funny.

But some moron trying to do a triple stunt like with a skateboard or something with no protection and no professional help is just asking to be glorified w/ laughter.

My new favorite is texting while driving. The news in my area talked of a teen who smashed into a tree because they were texting while they were drivng. Our hearts go out to the families. Really. Mine doesn't. My laughter does, he wasn't murdered or other horrible act commited to him, he was stupid. Just had to text somebody not like handling a half ton of metal and combustible liquid was important or anything. I find that funny.

Murder is never funny. Laughing about murder is shameful at best. To laugh about it in front of someone you know has been affected by it is downright inhumane.

People on the Internet feel think that because they are anonymous that their actions have no consequences. Or at the very least, I hope this is the case. If they realize that their actions do have consequences and they simply don't care, this makes them a candidate for Antisocial Personality Disorder (ie psychopathic).

Mind you, I love a good darwin award as much as the next guy. Death due to stupidity can be HILARIOUS. I'm sorry, but if you work for the natural gas company and you are going to fix a severe gas leak in a warehouse, you should know better than to light a match for a light source.

I don't find death to be something to laugh about. There's the way comedians generally do it (ie: not talking about specific cases with real people, generally, or only talking about celebrities). I think people should be considerate of others and respectful of their thoughts and feelings, within reason.
There's also stuff like Rotten.com and snuff films, and I find those also inappropriate and messed up.

That said, I realize that many people, whether they'll admit it or not, have some level of fear of death. People have to deal with that. Some make death funny so it's not so scary. People grieve in different ways. People perceive death, life, comedy, and tragedy in different ways.
I don't approve of people dishonoring the dead, messing with graveyards, or intentionally emotionally harming those who are grieving.
