hmmmmmmmm come to think about it... there are very few female anime characters that I have enjoyed watching. Of course that doesn't mean I hate them, mostly I feel indifference bordering on boredom. If I watch something like Naruto, Reborn, High school of the dead or Bleach I struggle to find a female lead character that's interesting and enjoyable to watch. I understand that not every character can be as charismatic as Haruhi Suzumiya or can have the sardonic wit of Hitagi Senjougahara but I would like to see some more emotional depth and intelligence when it comes to female characters. Personally I think most manga writers struggle to create female characters in a realistic way, and just fall back on stereotypes. Mostly they seem to exist for eye candy or a foil for the male lead.

As for the character I hate most, it would have to be Orihime, since she represents everything I hate about Moe animes.... Timid, weak, stupid, naive, emotionally stunted, self centred, pathetically big breasted etc.......

Well, I think the most hated female anime characters are Orihime from Bleach and Sakura from Naruto.

To be honest, I think most girls from manga are bad characters, C. C. is the ONLY(well maybe haruhi too) main heroine that I thought was perfectly fine, and very likable.

Mikuru Asahina. first was actually cute! then she got annoying, boring, whiny. like adult version though. and it pisses me off how she lets haruhi rape her! she can't do anything, won't do anything, and annoyes everyone english and asian alike with her annoying ass voice.

MISA AMANE - I officially declare Oha bad at writing female characters. among bakuman and death note the only female character that I genuinely liked was aiko. but later iwase also. seriously though, misa was annoying stupid and just unlikable. I know aya hirano voiced her but she is ANNOYING! barely a character if I may say

ran from Detective conan - a lot of you probably don't know her. but she is SOO freaking irrating! all she thinks about is shinji and he is right. Ai Haibara is an MUCH more intersting character and would have been a 10 TIMES better heroine!
