OMG!!! NO!!!

Can't they think of their own dramas!?!?! Why does korean companies let americans copy their shows?! They should just import them in America with subtitles or dubbed.

lol.

I agree.

Personally, I can't imagine an American remake...

And I didn't even like Kim Sam Soon. Ugly Betty's better, anyways.

Korean companies copy Japanese shows, too...

this is ridiculous. Why can't the Americans do it? It's called sharing.

I don't see anyone complaining about the Korean remake of Hana Yori Dango.

I'm embarassed by how lazy America is that they can't even just read subtitles the way every other country does when it comes to American movies and shows. I can't wait to move to Korea!!!

Did u guys know that Ugly Betty was a remake of a popular Mexican drama that was called "Betty la Fea" and look at the success it has made...... I understand your guys opinions but just wait and see it before you start trashing it.... you never know it can turn out really good.

HAHAHA! You are so right! BULLSEYE! I so totally agree! Why can't Americans do it?

Itzura na Kiss and ISWAK are another example. Sweet Relationship and Oshii Kankei is another. Let's talk game shows. I know there are a shitload of Asian countries who copy the American ones...like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Ooooh....how about Road Rules.....I believe the Korean copied that with a show called 2 Days and 1 Night (same freakin' concept).

Just give it a chance you Idiots!*That goes to the people against it* I mean seriously NBC has some of the best shows Heroes is one,and it’s fantastic, even if they change the plot it will probably be great,I mean look at Ugly Betty it’s actually really good even if they changed it a little from the Colombian version, you guys always whine,I’m sick of hearing it seriously, just wait to watch, and who knows you might just like it or you’re just against remakes which makes you ignorant especially if you haven’t seen them and just argue...

Also, actually I would think that the original actors from these dramas and movies think it’s really cool to start something original and be a remake,I mean they must think wow I participated in something really well done for it to be a remake and especially in America. Has anyone ever thought of it like that?

Doubt it. I haven't seen a single merican, Korean, or Chinese remake where they kept the old names. The names are all changed for easier remembrance and greater acceptance.

They might just call her Sam. Or Samantha. Or Sammy. Or Sammi. Or Samurai (I vote that one...but I doubt they'll use it).

I'm an american myself and I feel like there's no way it'll be anywhere near as good as the original. It kind of bothers me that they keep stealing ideas from Asian dramas and movies.

Please educate yourself and read what kakashiandme:Y'all crack me up. You get pissed that Americans remake Asian films but its okay for Asians to remake American films? This has been going on for years but its alright for Asians to do it.

You should be proud because "copying" would be a form of flattery.

How many songs have you heard that have been remade and sung by different artists? Well, it goes both ways in the film world. Once the script is written.....anyone can buy it. The same goes for songs that are written. The only thing that must be done is to have permission to remake the film or song required. So obviously, if the Americans are "remaking" the film then they got permission from the Asian film world to do it. It's not like we are stealing it.
