skimmed through all the posts. probably not as good as the ones mentioned already but here are some that i think havent been posted yet that i have enjoyed recently since i dont really have a favorite..
Sousei no Aquarion  Allison and Lillia  Macross Frontier  action/comedy/romance series Hayate no Gotoku! (not really action series but has lots of action)  Sumomomo Momomo  Inukami  Kage Kara Mamoru  Rosario vampire capu 1 and 2  some older action romance series that i enjoyed: saber marionette series, martian successor nadesico, tenchi muyo, blue seed, flames of recca.. probably more but i cant remember right now. |

Full Metal Panic/Fumoffu/TSR:
 Fushigi Yugi:  Vision of Escaflowne:  Gundam Wing:  Gundam Seed/Destiny:  I would add Chrono CXrusade, but falls more into the sad-romances of anime rather than action, not to say it doesn't have action, but the sad tone of the whole series over rules it. |
