That's why the games have age limits... It's the parents' own problem if they let their kids play violent games. GTA is R18, am I wrong?

I believe that the parents that complain about video game violence need to shut the heck up and blaim themselves because I work for a game store and it sure as heck is not our fault whenever someone buys a M rated game we check their id to see if they are the proper age and if they are not we dont sell it to them. If they have a parent with them when they want to buy it we ask them and tell them why its rated mature and trust me it makes a difference. what really needs to be looked at is who bought it blame them where they bought it if they did not and how in the heck did their kids get it in the first place. PARENTS LOOK AT THE BOX IT TELLS YOU THE RATING AND WHY IF YOUR TO STUPID TO LOOK YOU ARE AT FAULT STOP MAKING OTHER PEOPLE SUFFER BECAUSE YOU ARE TO DUMB TO LEARN WHAT BLOOD AND GORE MEANS AND IF YOU CAN NOT READ HOW THE HECK ARE YOU SURVIVING TO DAY.

Parents blame games for their kids' issues because it's a lot less work and pain in their long run compared to actually taking a good look at themselves and admitting that they did something wrong, that their kids were wrong, and to retrace their steps. This in itself is amongst the real roots of today's and tomorrow's problems.

i played resident evil 2 when i was 3-4
i played GTA on gba when i was like 7-8...

and im not a violent person

parents just dont want to blame themselves, so they blame it on something else...

For about my whole semester in college in my writing class I've been doing my assignments over this subject. When you think about it, it comes right down to the parents. Either not teaching their kids game from reality or not keeping the game away from their kids. Parents give in to easy to cry, tempers, and begging. A good showing of the belt will stop all that. If your kids mind isn't stable enough for the game, don't give it to them, plain and simple.Quit cutting corners with your kids.

some people fear what they dont know! If someone takes time to learn and understand someting, they gain a new perspective and make a proper judgement.

(insert here ---->) _________is a new pastime and some ignorant adults dont know how to handle it.

but , unfortunately history repeats itself, In the past the Adults feared this new music called "Rock And Roll," saying it Corrupted the minds of the young! meh! that music is tame now compared to the music now!

And if you go farther back (1800's) the people back then said that Novels (books) were evil and they corrupted the minds of youths!
BOOKS! of all things!

It is now up to us to decide what is right and wrong. If something is new, dont just blindly judge it, take time to learn about it.

We are a new generation and when we are parents (and some of us are) we will decide what is good for our kids. We will know that a game has an mature rating, and act appropriately.

Lets not repeat past ignorance!

Can I have your mom? Not as my mom or anything I would just like to keep her. Or maybe just a little mini version of her to put in my pocket...I'll call her mini-mom.
